The L.O.L. Festival is a lively, family-friendly 3-day celebration that brings the whole City of Gulf Shores and the Gulf Coast together for a weekend of music, food, and local pride.

Held at Waterway Village in Gulf Shores, the festival showcases talented local musicians across multiple genres, from folk, Americana, country, southern rock, blues, blues rock, alternative, funk, indie, progressive rock, to sound blend elements of heavy psych and experimental rock.
Our stage will feature scheduled performances throughout the weekend, welcoming an atmosphere where families can enjoy music together.

The festival’s food truck area is a highlight in itself, showcasing a mouthwatering variety of dishes crafted by local chefs and family-owned vendors. Local businesses set up booths to share their products and services, and to connect with the community and share what they offer.

Sea Glass Initiative Inc., a local nonprofit social service agency, will also play a central role in the event as they assist with our bike valet and accept donations to help serve the unhoused residents of Baldwin County.

Visitors are invited to Gulf Place Public Beach in Gulf Shores from 3–5 PM for FREE photos with Santa and festive sand sculptures, hosted by Sand Castle University and Gulf Coast Journeys.

Guests can bring their phones to capture their own photos with Santa! 🎄📸

❤️ Optional donations will be accepted for local Free Pantries. Toiletries, non-perishable foods, toys, and monetary contributions are all welcomed, but not required to participate. This is a community event open to all.

Planning Tip: Attendees should bring their own camera or phone, as professional photography is not provided at this free event.

You don’t have to eat oysters to love what they do for this place.

If you grew up around Mobile Bay, you probably have memories tied to the water. Maybe you cast a line off the dock, waded out in the shallows, chased crabs with a dip net, or watched a heron stalk the shoreline. What you might not have known back then is just how much of that life depends on the quiet work of oysters.

Oysters are known as a keystone species, meaning they hold the whole ecosystem together. They build reefs that act like underwater neighborhoods, drawing in all kinds of neighbors. Shrimp, crabs, seagrass, pinfish, catfish, and trout rely on the shelter and structure that those reefs provide. These reefs filter the water, calm the currents, and create a safe place for life to grow.

When oysters are healthy, the whole Bay thrives. But after years of decline, they need a helping hand.

Baykeeper is working to bring oysters back to our waters. We are planting new reefs, restoring old ones, and fighting for policies that protect their future. It is about more than just oysters. It is about clean water, good fishing, and keeping the Bay alive for the next generation.

If I’m being real, it’s not what I thought we would be putting out there first. I envisioned headphones, a mic, intro & outro music & a lot to say…not this video….recorded on my phone.
However , it is what it is (cue 🎼 ).

I had put a goal out there to release our podcast by Mother’s Day. Nonetheless, everything you thought could go wrong did-(podcast software, computer, dual microphones , not recording when I thought it was, crashed apps- you name it) but thankfully I had at least also recorded it on my phone- just in case I needed it & I did….

Kara -my precious daughter and greatest blessing- & I have recorded hours of fun conversations, some silliness, music talk, A LOT OF SPORTS TALK, (well she does most of the talking on that subject)…but you just wait, you'll see, & she knows what's up!!

She is simply amazing .
Give it up for Kara.

When we talked about this idea in 2020 we named it “Planted with Grace”- a Mother Daughter podcast.
This would be a place where we would share stories, have conversations, and offer our own unique perspectives on a variety of subjects.

I’ve already found myself listening to another one of our upcoming podcasts , knowing I need to take the advice given …especially as we prepare to release even more. We’ll cover that later.

Our goal is to create a community where moms and daughters come together and talk about anything & everything !!
From the funny moments,
to the more meaningful ones , we are your everyday mom and daughter, trying to live our life to the fullest & with joyful intentions, keeping it real, while also trying to tackle & understand the chaos & challenges of today’s world.

We also love to have fun, so hopefully our conversations will be entertaining!

To end - and INTRODUCE what we have been working on, I’m starting it simple with this welcome video.

This video is not perfect. Not even near, but it’s a step towards the bigger goal. I'm nervous even putting it out, but I'm doing it anyway.

In fact, you will need to find it on YouTube (will share link), IG, or even right here on my older page that I created over a decade ago..kind of ironic..

For today, this is where we are beginning our "release" for our podcast adventure.

We are thrilled to have you are here alongside us on this journey and hopefully we can laugh, maybe cry..probably cry haha, talk, learn, & grow together.

With that being , It WILL get better, & you will be hearing us in the future on all platforms. I hope if anything, it makes you smile today.
