Your child is heading to middle school. Are you ready for “The Talk”?

As a parent, sending your pre-teen/teen into middle or high school for the first time can bring a whole new level of questions:

What are they going to hear?
What are their friends going to tell them?
What are they going to find online?
And will they come to me when they have questions?

Most of us probably didn’t get a great s*x talk from our parents. Some of us didn’t get one at all! Many of us entered our first experiences with s*x and relationships without the guidance we really needed.

Now our kids are growing up in a world where the internet, social media, peers, and culture are talking to them about s*x constantly.

As parents, we can’t control every message our kids will encounter, BUT we can make sure OUR voice is one they hear first—and one they know they can come BACK to.

S*x, s*xuality, and relationships are complicated. Our kids deserve more than silence, awkwardness, or a crash course from the internet. They need a trusted guide.

And who better to guide them than the people who love them most?

That’s why I’m offering The Talk Workshop—a workshop designed specifically to help parents feel more confident and prepared to talk with their kids about s*x, s*xuality, relationships, and growing up.

This isn’t about giving you a script or telling you exactly what to say. It’s about helping you become the kind of parent your child can turn to when the questions get complicated.

Who taught you about s*x?

Did you get The Talk from your parents? Was it actually helpful? And did you learn what you needed to know before your first s*xual experience?

S*x, s*xuality, and relationships are some of the most powerful and complex parts of being human—yet many of us entered them with very little guidance.

And today? The internet is talking to our kids about s*x constantly.

So who will help them make sense of it all?

I believe parents are best equipped to take the lead, BUT if the thought of having “The Talk” leaves you overwhelmed, unprepared, or uncomfortable, this workshop is for you!

This workshop is designed to help parents become more confident and comfortable talking with their kids about s*x, s*xuality, and relationships—without the conversation becoming awkward, harmful, or something you wish you could take back.

Continuing Education Class - New Pattern Counseling 06/02/2026

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering why some clients continue to return to the same addictive patterns despite genuine motivation and repeated treatment attempts, this workshop is for you.

THIS Friday, June 5, we’ll take a deeper look at the underlying dynamics that often contribute to chronic relapse and make recovery more complex than simply “quitting.”

In Introduction to Addiction Interaction Disorder, we’ll explore:

* Why chronic relapse occurs and how to interrupt the cycle
* The difference between Acting Out and Acting In patterns
* How substance use and behavioral addictions interact and reinforce one another
* Practical approaches to treating co-occurring disorders
* Why sobriety involves more than abstinence
* Hidden addictive processes that clinicians frequently encounter, even when no substances are involved

Whether addiction treatment is your specialty or just one part of your caseload, this training is designed to provide practical concepts and tools that can be applied immediately in clinical practice.
