Starting THIS THURSDAY, Lori and Wayne Hilman are hosting GriefShare at Rez. GriefShare is a video-based, Christ-centered program that helps people apply biblical principles as they deal with emotions and life stresses following the death of a loved one. A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 11-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

This GriefShare class will be held for 11 Thursday evenings, beginning this Thursday, August 13th at 7:00 in the Activity Center. The cost is $10 per person to cover the cost of the workbooks. Register on the GriefShare website by clicking here. https://find.griefshare.org/groups/297754

We have seen this coming from several different people in the church.

When the sixth hour came, darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour. At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabaktanei?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” And when some of the bystanders heard Him, they began saying, “Look! He is calling for Elijah!” And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink, saying, “Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.” But Jesus let out a loud cry, and died. And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who was standing right in front of Him, saw that He died in this way, he said, “Truly this Man was [aa]the Son of God!” -Mark 15:33-39
