Blue Ridge Middle Bands

Congrats to BOTH the 6th Grade and 7th Grade BRMS Bands for 2 SUPERIOR Performances at the Carowinds Festival of Music! The students (and their director…) had a blast riding all of the roller coasters and making music and memories with each other. Go Band!!

Spring Band Concert Week! Join us TONIGHT at 6:00 for the 6th Grade Band Concert, and THURSDAY at 6:00 for the 7th and 8th Grade Concert! Looking forward to great music making!

We are getting closer to our “Instrument Testing Night” for our next year’s newest Band Students! Make plans to join us after school on Thursday, April 9th from 4:00 - 7:00 in the BRMS Gymnasium!

Students will have the chance to try ALL of the Band instruments, and we will decide what instrument they are going to play next year!

As we enter Spring Break, we want to give a HUGE shoutout to 7th Graders Mariana Mendoza and Zoe McGlothlen on their AMAZING performance at the 2026 SC Region 1 Honor Band Clinic a few weeks ago.

They spent 2 days at Furman University making music with the best musicians around the upstate! We are so proud of their work. Way to go!!

We are so proud of our All County Band Students for their work over the past day! We have an AMAZING concert coming up at 6:00!

Congratulations to these OUTSTANDING students who went above and beyond during our Spring Honor Band Audition processes! We are so proud of every student who auditioned for these groups; this is the BEST way to develop your individual musicianship. Congratulations!

It’s time for another concert! Join us next Tuesday, December 16th for the Blue Ridge Middle School Band’s December “Holiday” Concert! 6th Graders will perform at 6:00, and 7th/8th Graders will perform at 7:00 in the Blue Ridge Middle School Auditorium!!

We are so excited for our Fall Concert on October 28th at 6:00 PM in the BRMS Auditorium!! Featured performances will be by the BRMS Jazz Band, 7th Grade Band, 8th Grade Band, and the BRHS Corps of Cadets. Make plans to come see us!

Middle School Marching Band Night is TONIGHT for 7th and 8th Graders!!! Students need to be dropped off in the BRHS Bus Loop (on the right side of the school) between 5:30 and 6:00. Look for Mr. Gessner’s red shirt!! Pickup in the bus loop between 9:45 and 10:15. Looking forward to an AWESOME day! Parents, check your email and backpack notifications for more updates.
