As a nonprofit that just launched at the start of 2026, we had no idea what to expect from our first Mental Health Awareness Month. What we received was beyond anything we could have imagined.

Together we raised $4,118 — with support coming from donors across many states.

To everyone who donated, bid on auction items, shared our posts, and attended our Paint 'n Sip — thank you. You made this possible.

We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to the Horses for Mental Health Campaign for the opportunity to participate this year. Their platform connected us with supporters far beyond our own backyard and we are incredibly grateful for that partnership.

Ruby Ranch Mental Health is just getting started. Thank you for being part of it.

We are so grateful to recognize Grants Pass Toyota for their generous monetary donation to Ruby Ranch Mental Health.

Their support directly contributes to our ability to serve teens and families in the Rogue Valley through equine-assisted psychotherapy. It means more than we can say to have local businesses standing behind this work.

Thank you, Pass Toyota, for investing in the mental health of our community!

We are so grateful for our incredible fundraising ambassadors and the heart, time, and energy they are pouring into this campaign.

Our ambassadors have helped us plan and run our Paint ’n Sip fundraiser, collect auction item donations, post flyers, share our campaign on social media, talk with local businesses, and invite others in the community to learn more about the mission of Ruby Ranch Mental Health.

Each of these efforts matters. They are helping us raise awareness, build community support, inspire generosity, and create momentum for a program rooted in healing, connection, and belonging.

Our ambassadors are doing more than helping us fundraise. They are helping others understand the power of equine-assisted psychotherapy and the unique role horses can play in supporting emotional healing, personal growth, and lasting change.

In this early season of building our nonprofit, their support means more than we can fully express. Every conversation, shared post, donated item, flyer, and helping hand is helping carry this mission forward.

To each of our ambassadors: thank you for believing in this work, showing up for our community, and helping us create greater access to meaningful mental health support. We could not do this without you!

A heartfelt thank you to Massie Veterinary Services for sponsoring the care of our horses, especially our sweet Ruby, the namesake of our ranch.

Our horses are at the heart of what we do. They help create a safe, grounding space where clients can build trust, practice connection, and experience healing in a way that words alone sometimes cannot reach.

Ruby has such a special role in our program, and knowing she and the rest of our herd are supported with quality veterinary care means the world to us.

Thank you, Massie Veterinary Services, for caring for the animals who help us care for our community. Your support makes a meaningful difference.

How can therapy with horses improve your mental health?

Experiential

Horses allow for hands-on experiences that teach in the moment. People who are kinetic learners can especially benefit from working with horses. Horses offer learning opportunities that allow clients to practice the skills they are working on in a safe environment.

Relatable

Horses are relatable, require building trust and teach resilience. They are social animals that can help you examine your own relationships and gain insights from their behaviors. Horses mirror our conscious and subconscious behavior and provide instant, nonjudgmental feedback.

Empowering

Horses have many strengths that allow them to be an active participant in empowering you in your mental health journey. They often help break down some of the natural barriers that come when starting therapy.
