Mares Boys Racing Team

Well we haven't been racing in a while, basically since our classes were done away with. But things happen for a reason. So we decided to get serious about Brandon playing baseball. After finding a select team to play on things got serious. His coach told him he could go to college though baseball,,and it is happening! Today was signing day. He was given an offer from Ottawa University in Arizona and has signed!! It's very surreal and still hard to believe. We are super proud of this kid. He puts his full effort in to everything he does,, from winning multiple Championships and now becoming a college baseball player.

We are done yet 2 more years and C**t will be doing the same thing!

It's 2025 and heres what's new with the MBR team.

If y'all didn't notice, we only attended the national points races last year. With our boys joining more sports as they attend high school, we were finding it harder to attend more races. With word that the Texas track was no longer going to support the foam tire cars, we decided to go full swing into Baseball and Bowling. Rest assured our boys still have that drive to win, they've just carried over into other sports. This year, we are not planning on any big races. Playing by ear, if we can attend a race close to home, then we will go that route. We are already starting baseball for Brandon. He will be on the JV team at his high school and following that, he has joined a select team that will travel to showcases to get him looked at for colleges. C**t is super busy in bowling and looking to probably join back in league and do more tournaments to get him recognized for colleges. Our focus turned to their future and that's where we stand. We still love racing. Our cars aren't going anywhere and cost nothing to sit. We will be getting pages up for the boys to post for colleges, so once those are made, we will share them so you can all follow along. Thank you for sticking with us. Happy 2025!

The videos tell the whole story from the weekend. This was the final race of the National Championship. After last years Supers and problems with the track not being prepped properly for foam tires, we decided to concentrate on the National Points series. As you can see in each video, starting line is decent but no one can get past half track. This has been an issue now for a couple years. Seems like bracket racers just didn't want us there anymore. We've begged and begged, and by we, I mean foam tire drivers, not just us, just to have a little better prep on the top end of the track. David and Brandon both win their National Points but it could've been alot more fun if there was some compromise and more drivers would've shown up for Texas. Unfortunately with who they have "prepping" I don't t see a change anytime soon. We will definitely still be involved in rc drag racing and will try to travel or go run No prep near home. Well, I guess it's official, Foam tires have been kicked out of Texas. This was our official last race up there. We hope to be going back to Florida in 2025 and a couple of local races back home. We won the last Foam tire dragster Supers in Texas and the last Top Fuel season championship for 2023. We came to the DFW area 10 years ago when no one really knew about Foam tires, and we helped to build the classes to what they were back at TMS. In 10 seasons, we missed only a handful of races. We drove 4 hours every weekend and created some really great friendships along the way. We have met some really great racers from all over the world, Puerto Rico, Australia, Florida, Louisiana, and everywhere in between. Race recap coming soon. *tshowracing
