Taycher Racing

Current status of the new race car (new to us but it’s still a 2022). Picked it up back in December and we’re excited to be trying a new chassis since the long run we had with the BMS cars. We are the only one in Wisconsin with this brand of chassis. Still of lot of work to do to build a new body and drop in the engine and tr**ny with the limited amount of time we have to work on it between the business Quality Trailer Repair and working full time still along with the family. We are very hopefully for a fun and successful 2026 season back in the IMCA sport mod division along with a few Wissota Midwest mod races. Stay tuned for future updates here!

Racing update! Well we ended taking the old BMS sport mod to go racing at Marshalltown Speedway for the Harvest Hustle. We missed Thursday practice due to work I had to finish up for my business so we had no practice since the car ended up on top of the wall at 141 Speedway a few weeks back. It was a lot of work to get the car put back together the way we used to build them. Friday in the heats we were just there to make laps and try to get the car dialed in. With the help of a few people we got headed in the right direction. After Friday night after two heats races we were 32 out of 45 cars. Saturday we went from 8th to 6th in our heat race. Then we went from 5th to 3rd in the last chance race which gave us the last transfer spot into the feature. We started 23th in the feature and after racing with a very stout field ended up +7 spots to finish 16th. It might not seem that impressive but for my first full race night/weekend in six years and having almost no laps on the car we’ll take it! A big thank you to the Bartz racing crew for their help and a HUGE thank you to Travis and Anthony Roth from Razor Chassis for their hospitality and help with getting this car figured out. Some of the nicest people I have ever pitted next to and for even allowing my family to hang out in the toter home Saturday during the races to stay warm. Now as for next year we will be staying in the sport mod class. We are looking into buying a new or newer chassis as I believe this old 2013 BMS DMR car isn’t capable of what I want to accomplish for next year. A big thank you to everyone that has helped and supported me this short season.

For the first time since 2019 a dirt modified was fired up in the Taycher Racing shop. Now this may get some people excited BUT my main focus is building my business Quality Trailer Repair to the point I can work for it full time. This may take some time. If everything goes well I might make it out for a few races in August/September in either an IMCA A mod or an IMCA sport mod. The options are up for both right now. I no longer have any sponsors from when I previously raced so everything will most likely be funded by my business. So hopefully stay tuned for more updates in the near future!! And thank you to all of the fans that have stuck with me through the dirt bike and atv years hoping for me to come back circle track racing!!

Does anyone in the Appleton area straighten racing rims anymore?

Any of my racing friends know where the best place is to get the rubber coin flooring for inside a trailer? Looking at doing the floor of a 46’ enclosed.

ISO a 17” full containment seat. Either 18 or 20* layback. Gonna try one more time to find a used one before I buy new.
