2026 shaping up to be an amazing year for WMRA!!!

Who’s excited for next season? Hope everyone is working on their cars in preparation for 2026. You are not going to want to miss a single race in the coming year. With WARPA quickly approaching on Friday and Saturday, November 21st and 22nd, we wanted to announce some of our plans for next year and hopefully by early December, we will be able to release our full schedule.

As released earlier, WMRA announced the partnership with GTG Construction for the 2026 racing season. GTG Construction will be the Title Sponsor for the Midget Challenge Series hosted by South Sound Speedway in Rochester, WA. This will be a five-race mini-series beginning in May with the Championship Night early in September. Top five overall in both National and Regional points for the five-race series will share over $12K in purse payout. Currently, individual races will pay $1,000 to win and $150 to start.

Current plans are to run Wenatchee Valley Super Oval for three races. The first being a two-day show with the running of the inaugural Jimmy Screeton Memorial and finishing up the season with the 2nd annual Midget Nationals.

Intentions are to venture over to Stateline Speedway in Post Falls, ID for their annual Open Wheel Spectacular with one date expected at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA.

As plans continue to unfold, we will keep everyone updated as we go forward.

It race day for Nik Larson Racing, tonight we race for a Washington Midget Racing Association championship at Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval, come on out and see one of the biggest midget races in the Northwest. Racing starts at 5pm

12 more days, we head to Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval for championship night and one of the largest anticipated field of pavement midgets in the northwest in a long time, cars from all over the western states and our good friends from Canada gather for a great night of racing. See you at the Races!

Last race of the season is coming up on Sept. 27th, this will also be the 1st annual Northwest Midget National, combining all the NW Midget series together for one big night.
Nik is the current points leader going into the final race, he’ll be looking to finish strong and possibly win his first National Midget Championship.
Everyone is welcome to come on out and cheer on Nik and the team as well as all the other drivers on an epic night of Midget racing!
