Caregiver Spotlight: Akia, Caregiver of Visiting Angels Verona, PA

Akia has been part of the Visiting Angels family since December 2023, and since February 2025, she’s been caring for Mildred about twice a week. In that time, these two have become nearly inseparable! 💙

Akia isn’t just a familiar face to Mildred - she’s a trusted companion and a genuine friend. We love seeing the connection they’ve built and the joy they bring to each other. These two are the epitome of what we hope every client-caregiver relationship can become.

The Visiting Angels Largo team was honored to walk alongside families, caregivers, advocates, and community members at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Prince George's County.

Today is National Dog Day! This is our Compassionate Paws student in training! His name is Lambeau, he is one year old. He hopes to follow the paw prints of his late brother Chippy who was a Certified Therapy Dog for many years. Happy National Dog Day Lambeau!!!
