Have you ever felt stuck?

I’ve felt stuck for a few days.

Sitting down to make a plan is helping relieve the overwhelm of not knowing how to move forward.

I haven’t “solved” everything, and the plan will change, but A plan helps you get moving, and moving an object in motion is far easier than moving one that never got in motion to begin with.

Second year climbing The Incline for sunrise to welcome spring, my birthday month, and a new chapter.

I love how a yearly ritual marks time—it reminds you where you were, shows you how far you’ve come, and invites you into what’s next.

And getting to share these moments with chosen family makes it even more special.

We climbed.
We laughed.
We drank tea.
We pulled cards.
We greeted the morning light.

We began again.

I’m writing about grief this morning in my book, considering how grief shows up in endings.

Sometimes we grieve a person—because they passed or they’re no longer in our lives. And sometimes we grieve a community, a place, an idea, an identity, or a belief.

Anytime there’s change or transition, there’s grief because something that was once there is now absent. We need to allow ourselves the space to acknowledge and feel the absence.

Nothing is too “small” to grieve.

I once heard say there is no path in life you can follow where you won’t get your heart broken, so choose to get your heart broken over something you care about.

It feels strangely good and peaceful to be open to getting my heart broken again.

To choose to experience the fullness of life.

How do we pay attention to life, instead of taking it for granted?

It’s been an eye opening journey to consider how I might embody slowness as a value.

I want to do things. Make things. See things. AND I want to cultivate a way of living and creating that helps me notice and savor.
