One of my favorite parts of making skincare is that I infuse every oil myself. No shortcuts, no pre-made extracts. Just herbs, time, and patience.

People often ask how I know when an infusion is “ready.” The answer is simple: the color tells me. 💛

In this photo, the jar on the right has been steeping for 8 weeks and is rich, golden, and packed with calendula goodness. The jar on the left was started this morning. Same herb, same oil, very different story.

When I was a teenager, I was absolutely obsessed with St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I scrubbed my face with that stuff like it was my job. Looking back, it had more chemicals than you could shake a stick at, but I loved how clean and fresh my skin felt.

So years later, I created my own version.

💚✨ I thought this was quite beautiful.

The darker layer is comfrey-infused oil, and the lighter layer is my arnica and calendula infusion. The comfrey came out so much greener that, for a few minutes, it created this gorgeous swirl all on its own.

It’s one of those little moments that most people never see—the part before the stirring, before the bottling, before the labels.

I was supposed to mix it all together, but I had to stop and take a picture first.

Sometimes nature makes the prettiest art when it’s just doing its thing. 🌿

A friend at Toni’s Closet got some Bruise Banner to her sister, who bruises easily and often. Today she showed me a text with these photos because her sister was amazed at how quickly the bruise faded.

I had a very proud moment.

One of the best parts of running Oh My Balm is hearing from people after they’ve used a product. Whether it’s a bump, a bruise, sore muscles after a long day, or a stubborn migraine, knowing that something I made helped someone feel better is incredibly rewarding.

There are lots of ways to give back. One of mine just happens to involve herbs, oils, and a lot of stirring.

Last show before Maplewoodstock, and I finally figured out a better way to showcase my Healers! 🌿✨

Turns out, if you put all the problem-solvers in one place, people don’t have to play “Which balm fixes what?” anymore. 😆 From bruises to cracked heels, dry skin to sinus woes, the whole crew is front and center and ready for duty.
