Before the color… there’s this.
Every painting begins quietly… like this.
This is the early drawing for a new watercolor filled with layered florals and a few small visitors, bees and butterflies woven gently throughout the composition.
At this stage, it’s all about intention. Placing each element, finding the rhythm, and allowing the story to begin before color ever touches the paper.
There’s something I love about this part of the process. It holds so much possibility.
This piece will slowly build from here, one layer at a time, until it finds its full expression in color and light.
I’ll be sharing more as it unfolds.
Final day at the SanTan Village Art & Wine Festival — and this is your last chance to see these pieces in person.
If you haven’t stepped into Booth 14 yet, here’s what you’ll find…
Original watercolor paintings filled with light, movement, and color — the kind that don’t just sit on a wall, but shift the entire feeling of a space.
From bold statement pieces like Dandelion Fireworks to smaller works that bring a quiet sense of calm, this collection was created to live with you — not just be looked at.
Art is personal. You know it when you feel it.

Come take a walk through. See what stays with you.
This is the piece people are turning around for.
Dandelion Fireworks (40x60) is on display today at Booth 14 at the SanTan Village Art & Wine Festival — and it’s been stopping people mid-walk.
There’s a kind of energy to this one that’s hard to explain until you’re standing in front of it. Layers of watercolor, bursts of color, and that fleeting, light-filled moment that feels both bold and peaceful at the same time.
If you’ve been looking for a statement piece that brings life and movement into your space… this is why you come to an art show.

If you’re looking for something calm to come home to, come see these in person today.
I’ve had so many conversations this weekend with people wanting their space to feel a little softer, a little more grounded—and these desert pieces are the ones they keep coming back to.
The soft light, the layered color, the way they settle into a room without overwhelming it… they’re meant to live with you, not just hang on a wall.

If you’ve been thinking about coming out, today is the day.
Tomorrow is the final day—and weekends have a way of getting away from us.
These desert scenes have been quietly drawing people in all weekend. Soft light, layered color, and that sense of calm the desert brings at the end of the day. Several have already found new homes.

If you’re in Arizona this weekend, this is one of my final shows of the season.
And one of the last chances to see my newest watercolor florals in person.
I’ll be at the
Stagecoach Village Fine Art & Wine Festival in Cave Creek—surrounded by desert light, music, and a collection of work I created to bring a sense of joy, calm, and renewal into your home.
These paintings always feel different in person. The layers, the movement, the way the color shifts throughout the day… it’s something you can’t quite capture in a photo.

One of the best moments as an artist is seeing where a painting lands.
This watercolor dandelion recently left the studio and found its home in a dining room where color, light, and everyday life now gather around it.
I always imagine the small moments that will happen beneath a painting like this… morning coffee, shared meals, conversations that stretch long into the evening.
Art becomes part of the rhythm of a home. Not just something on the wall, but something that lives with the people around it.
Thank you to this wonderful collector for sharing where it now hangs. Seeing my work in the spaces people care about most never gets old.

Phoenix — if you love desert sunsets, cactus blooms, and vibrant watercolor, come see me this weekend at the High Street Arts Festival.
These paintings are inspired by the colors of the desert at its most magical — when the sky glows, the saguaros stand tall, and everything seems to pause for a moment of beauty.
I’ll be sharing a collection of my original watercolor paintings, all inspired by the desert landscapes and botanicals that make Arizona so special.
