Not all security fasteners offer the same level of protection.
What's the difference between tamper-resistant and tamper-proof fasteners?
🔩 Tamper-resistant fasteners such as Torx and Hex with a center pin, offer limited protection and are best suited for low-value applications like public bathroom stalls or license plates. They can deter tampering, but the matching driver bits are readily available to the public.
đź”’ Tamper-proof fasteners such as Key-Rex provide strong protection through unique drive patterns and high torque retention. Unique drive patterns require a matching driver bit, and only the owner of that screw has it, making unauthorized removal nearly impossible.
