Redemption Gilbert
We are Redemption Gilbert—Living All of Life All For Jesus. On Earth As It Is In Heaven! We believe that all of life is all for Jesus.
We are saved by grace through faith in the person and work of Jesus. He alone is Savior and King over all of creation. He is making all things new and has sent His church into the world to proclaim and embody this good news. Redemption Gilbert is a local community seeking to be faithful to this calling in Gilbert. Q&A:
What is your go-to food order?
Sausage and pepperoni, thin crust, Chicago pizza from Rosati’s.
What does “All of Life is All for Jesus” look like on a regular day?
“All of Life is All for Jesus” means that Jesus is always, everywhere, all the time, in every situation and when you are with others, no matter what may be their level of belief in Jesus. Faith, attitude, and your commitment to Jesus doesn’t change to accommodate the audience.

Meet Faith Herrera! ☕✨
Faith serves as our Commons Coffeehouse Manager, overseeing the daily operations of our community-focused coffeehouse and ministry space. She's also actively involved in Youth Ministries, investing in the spiritual growth of the next generation. Faith has been on staff for 23 years and part of our church family for 30+ years — we're so grateful for her faithfulness!
Q&A:
What's one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
I absolutely love being outdoors and hiking! I'm as slow as a turtle, but don't let my pace fool you I just keep going. I've hiked Mt. Humphreys Peak, made it all the way to the top of Flat Iron (yes, the very top!) and even hiked down and back up the Grand Canyon in one day. I'm not the fastest, but I'm determined. Once I set my mind to reaching the top or the end of the trail I don't quit.
What does "all of life is all for Jesus" look like on a Tuesday?
It looks like serving others with joy whether that's making coffee for our amazing customers at the Commons, taking time to learn their stories or simply being present in each conversation. Tuesday afternoons are usually spent catching up with friends over Taco Tuesday, supporting local businesses, and enjoying the community God has placed me in.
I've learned that following Jesus isn't just about the big moments. It's about being faithful in the ordinary loving people well, serving with a grateful heart and looking for opportunities to reflect Christ wherever He has me.
Faith's steady, joyful presence at the Commons and her heart for our youth are such a gift to this church family. We're so thankful for her! Let Faith know how appreciated she is! 💬🙌

Today, our church family is headed off to Port Alsworth, Alaska, to serve at Tanalian Bible Camp over the next 11 days.
Would you join us in praying that God would go before every student, leader, and conversation, that hearts would be transformed, faith strengthened, and Jesus made known through every moment?
We’re expectant for all that God has in store and can’t wait to hear the stories of lives impacted and the ways He moves throughout this week. ❤️✈️🏔️

Meet Brenda Poarch! 💚👋
Brenda is a member of our Operations Team, helping with Guest Services, events, campus organization, the SALT Team, and the Community Engagement | Respite Center. She also coordinates our Guest Services volunteers, helping create a welcoming and safe environment where people can experience the love of Jesus. We’re so thankful for all she does!
Q&A:
What TV show have you rewatched more than you’d like to admit?
I’ve been watching this show on the History Channel called The Curse of Oak Island. It’s a treasure finding show, but no treasure has been found, only history changing artifacts have been found dating back to over 1300 - 2000 years old from Chinese to Knights Templar adventures. The fact that I’ve been watching it over 10 tens maybe a little hard to admit due to each show repeats its self, but is sooooo interesting.
How did you end up at Redemption Gilbert?
I was in need of Jesus and a church community to call home and one day I drove pass on a Saturday and the building happen to be open for a wedding, so I popped in and grabbed some brochures. Weeks later I meet a group of women who played Bunko who happpen to attend East Valley Bible Church and we became friends and I started attending, volunteering in Kid Ministry, working with childcare for Kids Konnection, and later was hired to be on Staff. I know that God laid out every move and interaction with people to call me back to His presence and I praise HIM for that! Baptized in the Chapel by Neil Pitchel and have been here for 25 years!
Brenda’s heart for serving and her love for people make a difference every week. We’re so grateful for her dedication and all she does behind the scenes. Let Brenda know how appreciated she is! 💬🙌

Most of us think of Sabbath as a rule to follow. The Bible presents it as something much better.
This week we’re sharing the first episode of The Bible Project’s Sabbath series, “The Restless Craving for Rest.” Tim Mackie walks through why seventh-day rest isn’t just a commandment but one of the organizing themes of the entire Bible, woven from Genesis all the way through.
Worth an hour of your time this week.

Happy Father’s Day! 🍩💙
We love our Redemption Gilbert dads and are so grateful for the love, wisdom, strength, and encouragement they pour into their families and our church community.
Today, we also celebrate the many men who have stepped into fatherly roles - mentors, grandfathers, coaches, uncles, and spiritual leaders - who have made a lasting impact on our lives.
Take a moment to let them know how much they mean to you!💬🙌

Meet Beth! 🫶✏️
Beth is the Kids Director at Redemption Gilbert, working with her team to encourage and equip volunteers to share the love of Jesus with kids from birth-4th grade. Say hello to Beth!
Q&A:
What’s a hill you’ll die on that has nothing to do with theology?
I’m a Pennsylvania native - so I’ll die on the hill of defending my Pennsylvania Dutch culture, pronunciations of our quirky words, peculiar foods and insisting that I’m from the “North East” and not the “Midwest”.
How did you end up at Redemption Gilbert?
We moved to AZ in May of 1998. It was recommended that we stop by the Chamber of Commerce in downtown Gilbert. There we found a flyer for “East Valley Bible Church” and realized it was close by so we thought we’d give it a try. We’ve never left. (Ironically no one on the staff knew who put flyers at the Chamber of Commerce!)
We are so thankful for all the hardwork, dedication, and love that Beth puts into Kids Ministry and how she pours into the next generation so faithfully! Leave a comment below to show Beth some love! 💬💛
