We are Redemption Gilbert—Living All of Life All For Jesus. On Earth As It Is In Heaven! We believe that all of life is all for Jesus.

We are saved by grace through faith in the person and work of Jesus. He alone is Savior and King over all of creation. He is making all things new and has sent His church into the world to proclaim and embody this good news. Redemption Gilbert is a local community seeking to be faithful to this calling in Gilbert. Summer has a way of speeding up even when we expect it to slow down. This year, we’re being intentional about that — carving out a little space each week to breathe, reflect, and reconnect.
Week 1 of our Summer Slowdown starts with a sermon on solitude from Bridgetown Church. It’s a practice most of us have forgotten, and one that might be exactly what this season is calling us toward.
About 45 minutes. Good for a drive, a walk, or a slow morning. Find the link in our story highlight!

Meet Jonathan! 🎶🔊🌟

Jonathan is the Production Director at Redemption Gilbert and manages how the proclamation of the Gospel is communicated through lights, visual and sound in live events, podcasts and videos. Say hello to Jonathan!

Q&A:
How did you end up at Redemption Gilbert?
I was working as an AV manager at the San Marcos Resort in Chandler when my coworker suggested I come with her and her husband to a young adults group called 7Ten. I was of course hesitant as I was in my early 30s then and thought people wouldn’t accept me nor want a 32 year old around in their young adults ministry.  Quite the opposite happened. That night, I was thoroughly impressed with the worship, the teaching, and the community and formed fast relationships with people; people that are my good friends to this day. I also got involved in volunteer production right away because I craved being a part of something excellent! Fast forward to today, I get to now be a part of leading what excellence looks like in the church setting for the sake of the gospel!

What TV show have you rewatched more than you’d like to admit?
Well actually, I would love to admit that I have watched over and over the originally-on-Fox-then-cancelled-after-one-season sci-fi series, Firefly. I’m a nerd at heart and loved the show…think the old west meets space, and the beloved characters really made the show what it is and produced a huge cult following because of it so much so that they are coming out with a prequel animated series to the show…can’t wait!

Summer has a way of creating space that the rest of the year doesn’t.
We want to help you use it well.
All summer long we’re sharing one resource a week, a book, a podcast, a short video, something to help you live your faith in the everyday, not just think about it.
June is Summer Slowdown. We’re looking at our phones, our pace, and what it might look like to actually rest this summer.
New resource every Tuesday. No sign up, no commitment. Just follow along.
First one drops this Tuesday.

You can live next to wonder and never visit it.
This Sunday, we talked about what it looks like to actually stop, revisit the gospel, and let it change the way we live.
Weren’t able to make it this last Sunday? Visit our website or YouTube to watch Cory’s sermon on 1 Peter!

What if your new convictions mean God is working in you?
That’s the reality of salvation. A living hope. A new heart. A life that’s been genuinely transformed from the inside out.
1 Peter 1:3-9

Jesus is Lord. He died for sin. He rose from the dead. He reigns in heaven. And He is calling you. Right now. To repentance and faith.
That’s not too strong. That’s the gospel.

Meet David, aka Gibby! 🌟🏔️

Gibby is on the Youth team, leading Redemption Loves outreach initiatives, the Summer Camp Team Lead, and a junior/senior guys small group leader.
He also works at the Commons Coffeehouse, running their social media as well! If you know Gibby, you love him!

Q&A:
When did faith feel most real to you outside of church?
Two moments stand out most to me. The first was living in Southern France, where God became real to me for the first time. The second was backpacking for seven weeks through western China, where I experienced what it looked like to see and pursue Jesus in the wild—without the comfort of church or a community of believers around me.

What did you think you were going to do with your life before this?
I always wanted to spend my life traveling the world as a photographer and storyteller for National Geographic.

“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while… So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.” 1 Peter 1:3-9
Pastor Brian Berger reflects on yesterday’s sermon as we continued in our new series, “Exiles.”
