Why is the beach so relaxing? The sound of the waves so calming? A relaxing day at the beach will definitely do wonders for anyone’s mental health.

Supplements or prescription medications, which is better? My answer is yes to both. I work with my clients to find a treatment that they are comfortable with and this often includes a combination of supplements and medications. My main focus if finding a treatment that works. Some of my favorite supplements include the following:
1) Magnesium Glycinate- an essential element that helps with sleep and sore muscles
2) NAC- a wonderful antioxidant that helps with a several different anxiety disorders, prevents kidney and liver damage, and is also helpful for acne
3) Omega 3 fatty acids- these healthy fats help lower triglycerides, decrease inflammation in the body, and can help prevent anxiety and depression

Vacations are important to decompress. Taking your whole family is great but sometimes it is important to leave the kids at home. Parents often feel guilty leaving their children at home, but I believe it’s important to practice self care and set that example for your children.
