💕DONATION!!💕

A huge thank you to the amazing Junior Girl Scouts of Troop 20501 from Spring Grove for their incredible generosity and hard work!

Since February, these dedicated young ladies have been collecting donations for the animals in our care, and the results were nothing short of amazing. Thanks to their efforts and the support of their community, they delivered an astounding 2,200 pounds of dog and cat food, along with toys, collars, leashes, cleaning supplies, and other much-needed items.

As if that wasn't enough, the girls also took the time to hand-sew catnip toys for our feline residents. The cats were thrilled to receive these special gifts made just for them!

We are so grateful for the compassion, dedication, and community spirit these girls have shown. Their project will make a real difference in the lives of the animals at our shelter and help us continue providing the care they deserve.

Thank you, Troop 20501, for proving that even the youngest members of our community can make a tremendous impact. Your kindness has touched the hearts of our staff, volunteers, and, most importantly, the animals who will benefit from your generosity every day. 🐾❤️

💕UPDATE!!💕Wen's very happy parents just came and picked him up! The microchip and lifetime license definitely saved the day for Wen!

‼️FOUND DOG‼️

This is Wen. He was found this morning in the 200 block of Springs Avenue in Gettysburg. He has these tags on his blue collar: a Rabies tag, a Lifetime license, a tag with his name and owner's phone number, and a microchip tag! Because of all these items, we were able to locate and contact his owners, and they are on their way to pick him up! Woohoo!

💕UPDATE!!💕
These two guys have been returned to their owner! Thank you for sharing!

‼️FOUND DOGS‼️

These two handsome guys were found last evening in the 400 block of Hanover Street in Gettysburg. They are both boys, they have NO collars, NO licenses, NO identification, and NO microchips! If these are your dogs, or if you know who the owner is, please call the shelter at 717-334-8876. Please excuse the "kennel" pictures, they are scared and worried.

💕A Heartfelt Thank You to the Hanover Area YMCA!💕

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful staff and members of the Hanover Area YMCA for their generous donation of pet food, cat litter, dog and cat toys, and many other much-needed supplies for the animals in our care.

Community support like yours helps us provide comfort, enrichment, and proper care for homeless pets while they wait for their forever families. Every bag of food, every toy, and every donated item makes a difference.

Your visit wasn't all work, though! Our adoptable dog Pearl was thrilled to help with the delivery and made sure everyone received plenty of her signature kisses and affection. She had a wonderful time meeting new friends and soaking up all the attention.

Thank you for thinking of our shelter animals and for your commitment to helping pets in need. We are incredibly grateful for your kindness, generosity, and community spirit. Your support helps make brighter days possible for the animals who depend on us.

Thank you, Hanover Area YMCA, for making a difference—one wagging tail and happy purr at a time! 🐾❤️

💕PEARL'S SUNNY DAY💕

I can’t think of a better way to spend a gorgeous day than watching the world go by. So many cars 🚗 to watch, the gentle rustle of the leaves🍃in the breeze, and the chirp of the birds!🐦‍⬛

It’s a good thing my friend knows that I don’t understand what personal space is. You see I love to give out kisses😘. And believe it or not, my tail goes as fast as my tongue! I do enjoy the sunshine☀️on my face.

I ended my fun day with a nice little walk. I love the grass between my toes! I do so enjoy my walks. My friend says, "Pearl, you are beginning to walk like a lady - nice & easy with less pulling."

I sound perfect don’t I? But sorry to say, due to my past (if you don’t know it check out my profile on the website) I have to be your one and only pet.

If you think your home would be perfect for me, get you application in so the girls can get it approved. Once that is out of the way we can meet.

Hoping to see you soon.

Love, Pearl
