Gettysburg College’s Reenacting Unit, we portray the 26th Pennsylvania Emergency Militia Regiment. The current Pennsylvania College Guard (PCG), or Co.
A, 26th Pennsylvania Emergency Militia Regiment (PEMR), honors the memory of the Pennsylvania College students who left their studies in June 1863 to enlist in Gov. Andrew Curtin's emergency forces. They traveled by train to Harrisburg, PA, and entered into their country's service for a short time. Last month, 26th PCG members attended Camp Geiger in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. Members portrayed artillery for both battles during the weekend.

On February 22nd, members of the PCG attended the first drill day of the semester! New and old members got to train on the cannon, learning and refreshing their skills
