Today's Westminster Free Shred event is cancelled due to circumstances with the shredding vendor. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and unexpected change. We were looking forward to serving our community this morning and will look to reschedule the service. Our team members who were ready and onsite appreciated everyone for being kind and understanding.

As part of today's United Way of Frederick County, Maryland Day of Acton, our Maryland team volunteered with Blessings in a Backpack Frederick Chapter helping provide meals for local students 🎒 🍎 💙. We're proud to have participated in this event for many years, and we always enjoy an opportunity to give back. Thanks to United Way and all the local nonprofits who make our community strong!

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and we're focused on helping protect what matters most - you! Here are a few simple cybersecurity habits you can incorporate into your daily routine to stay safer online:
🔹 Slow Down
Fraudsters want you to react before you have time to think. Be cautious of unexpected emails, text messages, or phone calls that ask for personal information, passwords, or payments. Take a moment to verify the request through a trusted source before taking action. Legitimate organizations will understand your hesitation and appreciate your efforts to protect your information.
🔹 Use Strong Passwords
Create long, unique passwords for each of your accounts. Consider using a password manager to help generate and securely store them.
🔹 Turn on Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification, such as a security key that you connect to your device, an authenticator app that displays a new code every 30 seconds, biometric face or fingerprint verification, text or emailed codes (least secure methods). MFA adds another layer of protection should a password become compromised.
🔹 Keep Devices and Apps Updated
Software updates do more than add new features. They often include important security updates that help protect your devices and accounts from cyber threats.
🔹 Protect Your Personal Information
Only share personal information with trusted and verified sources. Never share your passwords or MFA codes with anyone.
Cybersecurity can seem complicated, but small steps can make a big difference in keeping your information safe. This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, take a few minutes to review your online security habits and help make the digital world a safer place.

🗂️ Clear out the clutter and recycle those old electronics while you’re at it!
Join us for our Community Shred & Electronic Recycling Day on Saturday, October 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in York.
Bring up to five boxes of household confidential documents for secure, on-site shredding. We’ll also have Omega ECycles on hand to collect eligible electronics, including computers, cell phones, flatscreen monitors, keyboards, cables, printers and more.
🥫 We’ll also be accepting monetary donations and non-perishable food items to benefit the York Suburban Education Foundation Food for Thought Program.

ACNB Bank is proud to donate $5,000 to the Gettysburg Hospital Foundation’s Patient Support Fund, which helps at-risk patients overcome needs that can directly affect their treatment and health outcomes. The fund provides assistance with food, transportation, durable medical equipment, transitional housing and life-saving medications.

ACNB Corporation has announced plans to bring its banking and mortgage divisions together under the ACNB Bank brand.
Beginning in the first quarter of 2027, Traditions Bank, A Division of ACNB Bank, will adopt the ACNB Bank name and brand identity in York County, PA, while Traditions Mortgage, A Division of ACNB Bank, will become ACNB Mortgage, A Division of ACNB Bank, across all markets.
The transition reflects our continued growth as one organization while maintaining the local relationships and personalized service our customers have come to know and trust.
Existing banking relationships, accounts and account numbers will remain unchanged, and customers will receive additional information ahead of the transition.

As the 2026 Alive @ Five season comes to a close tonight, we’re looking back on another great summer of live music, community, and plenty of good times along Carroll Creek.

We’ll also be collecting donations to benefit the Westminster Rescue Mission, including warm clothing, individually wrapped food items, body wipes, duct tape, and monetary donations.
