If you have been in on a Monday or Thursday over the past school year then you have seen these bright faces. We have been blessed to have these wonderful LIU students to help us. Some will be returning next year but sadly some will not. We just wanted to give a huge thank you to them. Onward and upward.

You know her as Pat, but to us she is “Mom” and “Grandmommies” and we are so grateful for all of the roles she plays.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms, soon to be moms, hope to be moms, and anything other phase you may be. 🤍

On May Day Come Hear Marjorie Maddox and Jerry Wemple

Our featured poets for First Friday are the wonderful combination of Jerry Wemple and Marjorie Maddox. Join us at the Ragged Edge Coffeehouse on May 1, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. We start promptly at 7:00 pm with an open mic. Feel free to bring a poem to share.

Poetry Moment host for WPSU-FM, assistant editor of Presence, and Professor Emerita at Commonwealth University, Marjorie Maddox has published 17 collections of poetry—most recently Hover Here, Seeing Things, Small Earthly Space, and In the Museum of My Daughter’s Mind—as well as a story collection, 5 children’s books, and the anthologies Common Wealth: Contemporary Poets on Pennsylvania and Keystone Poetry (co-editor with Jerry Wemple).
