It's that time of year again! And our community is stepping up!

Getting kids ready to go back to school shouldn't be a financial burden. Starting Monday, August 3rd, families in Georgetown and northern Williamson County can qualify for a $25 voucher for clothing, shoes, and backpacks from The Shops at The Caring Place. Here's what you need to know:

Who:
Children must be 18 or under;
Families must live within TCP service area;
Proof of residency for the household and identification for each child are required.

What:
$25 store voucher per child for clothing and shoes of all sizes & backpacks.

When:
Enrollment is August 3rd - 17th;
The Caring Place is CLOSED Friday, August 14th.

Where:
Enroll at the TCP Programs & Services Office - 2001 Railroad Ave.
Redeem voucher at The Shops at The Caring Place - 2000 Railroad Ave.

*Vouchers expire on August 31, 2026. Vouchers are one-time use and may not be copied or replaced.

The Caring Place Service Area: Georgetown, Andice, Bartlett, Florence, Granger, Jarrell, Jonah, Schwertner, Walburg, Weir, & the portion of Hutto within GISD.

Our Buddy Program matches seniors with a caring volunteer for regular connection. Think friendly visits, phone calls, conversation, and a familiar face to look forward to.

Faith in Action's volunteer drivers provide transportation throughout Georgetown for everyday needs and appointments. For medical visits, we can also assist with transportation to destinations outside the Georgetown area.

Sun City Texas resident, Nancy M. joined fellow volunteers with the Horticulture Club's Outreach interest group in harvesting about 300 pounds of fresh, organic tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers for a local food bank, bringing this year's total donations to more than half a ton!
