In 1976, Jim Fitch became the Executive Director of . His first major undertaking? The recovery and installation of the Brown’s Ferry Vessel, a project that spanned decades and brought the oldest vessel of colonial manufacture in America that you can see today in our third-floor gallery. 🌾
Since then, Jim has transformed The Rice Museum into a cornerstone of the art and history community. Join us in celebrating his 50-year legacy and visit our special exhibit: 50 Years of Collecting and Creating.
