The EmpowHER Mentor Group is a positive and empowering mentorship program based out of Georgetown Middle School dedicated to inspiring, motivating, and uplifting young girls as they grow academically, socially, emotionally, and personally. Founded by Molieka Wilson, alongside Co-Founder Muryel Sumpter and Mentor Kyla Sparkman, the program was created to provide young girls with a safe, encouraging, and supportive environment where they can build confidence, discover their strengths, develop leadership skills, and form meaningful connections with mentors and peers who genuinely care about their success and well-being.

At EmpowHER, we believe every young girl deserves to feel heard, valued, supported, and empowered to become the best version of herself. Through mentorship, group discussions, educational activities, community service opportunities, team-building experiences, workshops, guest speakers, and fun interactive events, our mentees are encouraged to dream big, believe in themselves, and make positive choices both inside and outside of the classroom.

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, EmpowHER Mentor Group is excited to welcome new mentees to become a part of our growing sisterhood. We are looking for young ladies who are ready to learn, grow, encourage one another, and be part of a positive and motivating environment. Whether a student needs encouragement, guidance, friendship, leadership development, or simply a place where she feels supported, EmpowHER is here to help every girl shine with confidence and purpose.

Our program focuses on:
- Building self-confidence and self-esteem
- Encouraging academic achievement and school involvement
- Promoting leadership and responsibility
- Teaching life skills and positive decision-making
- Supporting mental and emotional wellness
- Creating lasting friendships and mentorship bonds
- Encouraging community involvement and personal growth

We are excited about the impact EmpowHER will continue to make during the new school year at Georgetown Middle School and look forward to welcoming a new group of amazing young ladies into our mentorship family. Together, we will continue to inspire confidence, strength, leadership, and empowerment in the next generation of young women.

We plan to expand our page's content with more regular posts. We are making progress in our ongoing efforts. A meeting will take place tomorrow after school. We value your continued support for our young ladies. 🩷🖤

We had our end of the year Holiday Gathering and it was fun. We played games, ate, danced, and had some group game fun.

💜✨ EmpowHER Spotlight! ✨💜

Our EmpowHER meeting on Thursday, October 16, 2025, was a huge success! 🙌 We asked our girls what careers they are interested in, and their answers were amazing! From nurses, doctors, and social workers to truck drivers and even entrepreneurs, our girls are dreaming big! 💭🚀

To kick off our new Career Series, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mrs. Nicole Selph, one of our very own RBHS School Counselors, as our first guest speaker! 🎤👩🏽‍🏫

Mrs. Selph was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, and now lives in Conway, South Carolina with her husband, Saleem. With over 20 years of experience in counseling, criminal justice, and behavioral health, she continues to inspire others while pursuing her PhD in Forensic Psychology. 💼📚 She is also a proud member of the American Psychological Association and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.

The girls truly enjoyed her visit, and so did we! 💕
We are beyond excited to announce that Mrs. Selph is now an Honorary Member of EmpowHER! 🌟👑
