The Georgetown Business Association is once again sponsoring Flags On Front, a celebration of Flag Day 2026, with businesses on Front Street and on neighboring streets flying American flags in front of their businesses. The GBA provides the flag, pole, and bracket to every business. On Flag Day, Saturday, June 13th , we are looking forward to seeing flags up and down the whole of Front Street and on the neighboring streets! Here is what is going on that day:
A three-man color guard from the Trail Life scout group at First Baptist Church will march at 12pm up Front Street and along the Harbor Walk from The George Hotel to the Kaminski House. At the midway point by Marion Park, the Pledge of Allegiance will be spoken and the singing of our National Anthem will take place.
โUkes by the Sea,โ a 25-person ukulele band from Myrtle Beach, has been confirmed for a 1pm one-hour performance of patriotic and American music at the west end of Front Street by Rainey Park.
