Do you recognize this little bird? Often seen quickly trotting along the shallow waves, Sanderlings are a fun treat to watch while you’re enjoying the beach. This Sanderling was spotted along the south end of DeBordieu Beach!

Happy Earth Day! One thing that makes DeBordieu special is the beautiful natural surroundings. You get the appreciate the North Inlet, DeBordieu Beach, wildlife, and so much more. The southern end of the beach is particularly special. Hobcaw Barony Nature Preserve protects this area, so you get to see the beach in its natural state! If I were you, I’d enjoy this Earth Day by taking a walk.
