Need a little help with back to school shopping? Read about our voucher program below!

Starting Monday, August 3rd, families in Georgetown and northern Williamson County can qualify for a $25 voucher for clothing, shoes, and backpacks from The Shops at The Caring Place. Here’s what you need to know:

Who:
Children must be 18 or under;
Families must live within TCP service area;
Proof of residency for the household and identification for each child are required.

What:
$25 store voucher per child for clothing and shoes of all sizes & backpacks.

When:
Enrollment is August 3rd - 17th;
The Caring Place is CLOSED Friday, August 14th.

Where:
Enroll at the TCP Programs & Services Office - 2001 Railroad Ave.
Redeem voucher at The Shops at The Caring Place - 2000 Railroad Ave.

*Vouchers expire on August 31, 2026. Vouchers are one-time use and may not be copied or replaced.

We are hiring for two full-time positions: Crisis Assistance Navigator and Retail Associate. Learn more about each position and our mission to help neighbors in need at caringplacetx.org/jobs

❤ Crisis Assistance Navigator
Full Time, Pay Range of $18 - $ 20/hour D.O.E.
A Crisis Assistance Navigator meets one-on-one with neighbors facing financial crisis, determines eligibility for services, and connects them to the right resources with same-day help whenever possible. This role keeps neighbor files and data up to date, supports referrals to case management, and helps the Programs and Services team run smoothly day to day. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

🛍 Retail Associate
Full Time, Pay Starting at $17/hour
A Retail Associate helps keep our thrift stores running, sorting and pricing incoming donations, supporting volunteers, and getting merchandise onto the floor. This role provides great customer service, keeps the store clean and welcoming, and may cashier as needed. May focus on one department but should be ready to pitch in across the store. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
