Teamwork makes the dream work! While prepared for a planned power outage, they offered our food pantry the food from their cooler and freezer. Now, two pallets worth of meat, eggs, and more are still available for neighbors in need and nothing goes to waste!

The Family Eldercare Summer Fan Drive is almost here and we’re proud to be an official fan drive partner again this year!

Need a fan to help fight the summer heat? You may be eligible if you meet any of the following:
❤️ age 55 or older
❤️ have a disability
❤️ are experiencing financial hardship
❤️ are part of a family with children

Proof of residency within The Caring Place service area (Georgetown, Andice, Bartlett, Florence, Granger, Jarrell, Jonah, Schwertner, Walburg, Weir, and the portion of Hutto that lies within GISD) is required.

Our annual volunteer appreciation celebration was a joy! Thank you to the 449 volunteers who donated 67,585 hours of their time and talent to us in 2025 - you are integral to our work caring for the community.

As part of yesterday’s celebration, we recognized 17 volunteers who have served for 5, 10, 15, or 20 years. Combined, they have an astounding 200 years of experience supporting The Caring Place! We are so grateful to each individual who chooses to share their time with us. It is an honor to serve the community together.

There are now TWO ways to choose from for your monthly shop in The Caring Place Food Pantry! Check out our new Quick Boxes! 📦❤️

How do Quick Boxes work?
Neighbors check in to the pantry with their Caring Card and choose to shop for themselves or get a Quick Box. Both options are available to all shoppers for their monthly visit to the pantry, but Quick Boxes offer a faster option for neighbors in a hurry. Neighbors can expect to be in and out of the pantry with their Quick Box in 5-10 minutes.

What’s in a Quick Box?
Quick Boxes contain about 30 pounds of shelf-stable items including food and toiletries. When a neighbor requests a box, they also receive frozen protein and an assortment of fresh produce.
