The Summer Reading Kick-Off brought over 150 children to the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library this week! Everyone has their reading logs, and the prizes have begun!
But it’s not too late to sign up. Just stop by the library to join the fun!

Baruch Institute for Marine and Coastal Sciences for sharing her years of painstaking research into the lives of enslaved communities at Hobcaw Barony, 1739-1865, for today's Friends of the Waccamaw Library 1st Thursday. ⭐️JUNE-JULY 2026...“The American Revolutionary War in South Carolina," a traveling exhibit from the South Carolina State Museum, is on public display by the Circulation Desk at the GEORGETOWN LIBRARY (405 Cleland St, Georgetown, SC 29440) during regular operating hours (Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. / Saturday: 9:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.) as part of "A Glorious Cause: South Carolina and the American Revolution: A Public History Initiative by the Georgetown County Library." The exhibit is free & open to the public.
⭐️The project is made possible by a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) administered by the South Carolina State Library (SCSL).
