I am excited to have filed to rerun for Place 1 on the Georgetown ISD School Board and hope to continue to serve this community as a trustee for the next 3 years.

During the past 3 years I have and currently serve as Board President, served as Board Vice President, and as a member of Land Committee, Curriculum Council, and the Literacy Task Force. A few of our accomplishments I am proud of include:

Hiring our current Superintendent Dr. Padavil.
Increasing teacher/staff compensation each year.
Narrowing the budget deficit which has in part been created by unfunded mandates.
Passing all bonds with a 60%+ vote in 2024.
Opening 3 new campuses with 3 more under construction.
Setting unified board goals.
Aligning our governance calendar with the business cycle of the district.
Establishing Legislative Priorities for the district that represents a unified voice from the classroom to the boardroom.
Establishing committees, councils and task forces which are resulting in increased community engagement, more transparency, increased oversight and improved governance.

In less than 45 minutes GCCMA was abale to distribute more than 225 backpacks full of supplies. Was amazing to be a part of but tough to have to turn people away at the end.

GCCMA is still looking for a few volunteers to help ensure out kids have the supplies need to start their year on the right foot. If your interested in joining me this Saturday please message me for details.

I am very honored to get to serve this amazing community as a School Board Trustee. I want to thank my wife and family for the unconditional love and support. I want to thank all of the people who jumped at the opportunity to support me, who put their time, effort, money and vote behind me. I want to thank Cody Hirt and Elizabeth Bottcher McFarland for pushing me and picking me up when things got too personal.

I do not take responsibilities lightly and will work to represent this community in the best manner possible.

The vote is on! If you want Trustees who value input and listen then its time to show up and vote for Cody For GISD McFarland for GISD School Board Place 2 and Me. We held a meeting to get the voice of our teachers and below are some of the unfiltered results of what they love about their job, the challenges they are facing and the things we are doing well. Most of these views, positive and negative, were also shared by and in meetings we held with our Nurses, Custodians, Bus Drivers, Administrators, and Support Staff. Once elected my commitment is to keep the communication channels open.

Easiest vote I have ever made 100% sure I am the right person for this position, please get out and vote for me.

I worked a 10 hour day, delivered 14 yard signs, participated in a hour and a half candidate forum and still found the 3 minutes it took to vote. No excuses!

The support over the past 5 months has been humbling but now is when it counts. Early voting starts tomorrow. I need you to show up and vote, let me see your I voted sticker post!
