Grades 6th - 12th SCOLA Students!

Please note that these sessions are not intended to provide direct course instruction or replace the lessons within SchoolsPLP. They are designed to provide additional support when a student is struggling with a concept or is unable to successfully complete a lesson or checkpoint on their own.

Students in grades 6th-12th were emailed a Mental Health Awareness Training google form. The form contains a slideshow and videos for students to watch. When completed, please submit the form online. Thank You SCOLA families!

Reminder: All K–8 SCOLA students are required to complete both the Reading and Math i-Ready assessments to remain eligible for SCOLA.

Next week is the final week of testing. If your student has not signed up for both assessments, please contact their SCOLA teacher today to schedule a testing time.

Only K-8 SCOLA Students:

Fall i-Ready testing will be held August 25–27 and August 31–September 2, with sessions at 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM.

Students must attend two sessions - one for Reading and one for Math. Completing required iReady testing (3x per year) and state KSA testing (in May) is required to remain eligible for SCOLA the following school year.

Most iReady assessments take about one hour but may take up to two hours. If both sessions are scheduled on the same day, students must be picked up between sessions.

Mrs. Beth, our Student Resource Support person, works with the Amen House to provide food bags for SCOLA families who need additional support.

SCOLA families may sign up for food bags by emailing Elizabeth Sharp. Food bags can be picked up at our front office on Fridays from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. If you cannot pick up your bag, please contact Mrs. Beth so you are not removed from the list.

Help with food, clothing, household supplies, and other necessities may also be available. All requests are handled with care and confidentiality. ❤️

📢 SCOLA Families — Important Update

SCOLA is currently experiencing a phone and internet outage. Because of this, please expect delayed responses from our staff until service is restored.

We also understand that some of our SCOLA families may be experiencing the same outage. Students will NOT be penalized if they are unable to log in or complete online work today due to internet connectivity issues.

Please don’t worry about missed login time or assignments—we will work with students once service is restored.

We are excited to begin another great year of learning, growth, and success together!💙

As a reminder, the first three days of SCOLA (August 12, 13, and 14) are designed to help everyone get started successfully. During this time, we will focus on:

✅ Ensuring every student can log in successfully
✅ Resolving technology or account-access concerns
✅ Helping students and families become comfortable with the SCOLA platform
✅ Making sure courses and schedules are correct

Our response time is slower than normal as we are welcoming a large number of new SCOLA families this year. We truly appreciate your patience as our team works through each question and concern. If you experience an issue, please be assured that our team will work with you to resolve it, and students will not be penalized for an access problem.
