Our residents got out for a strikingly good time — playing with Spirit Halloween props, trying on costumes and dreaming up Halloween ideas, then hitting the bowling lanes for some hand-over-hand strikes! Big shoutout to our staff for always making the fun happen.

Fall is officially all around at our Wasmond Center! From cutting apple shapes and picking out the perfect decorations on outings to playing fall games with friends and decorating the lobby, our residents are having so much fun with all the autumn activities. Big thanks to our families and staff for making the season extra sweet! 💜

Their art supply drive brought in so many fun new supplies, from crayons and coloring books to paint, glue, construction paper and more. We can’t wait to see what our residents create!

Fall creativity made the week extra fun at Marklund’s Bridge Builder program. Clients and staff tie‑dyed long‑sleeve shirts in autumn colors and Marklund shades, working together on color mixing and patterns. They ended up with bright, unique designs they’re excited to show off.

Let your Halloween mischief begin in the sweetest way.

Join us on October 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, IL for our 3rd annual Trunk or Treat.

Enjoy games, treats, sensory fun and Halloween scenes that turn our campus into a spook‑tacular adventure for all ages.

You can dress up and be paired with a resident or join in to show off a super‑awesome trunk that brings some witch‑level wow to this year’s contest.

This weekend, a group of residents enjoyed a fantastic outing to our local Batavia Fire Department’s Annual Open House.

Everyone had the opportunity to interact with firefighters, explore emergency equipment, participate in hands-on activities, learn about fire safety and experience the excitement of a day at the fire station. 🚒👨‍🚒
