Memorial Day weekend is a fun kickoff to summer. But let's all remember what the day is for. 🇺🇲

This is a PSA on behalf of all the pool maintenance companies. If you build your pool under trees, especially oaks or pecans, your pool is highly likely to look like this at some point in the spring when the pollen strings are falling. One big windy day or storm can turn the pool green, brown, & messy overnight. Do not blame your pool maintenance people if you are paying for weekly service. They didnt "LET" your pool turn green. Its just something you have to embrace if want to keep that cool, old tree next to the pool. So give your pool people some grace & time to get it cleaned up, bc I feel confident they are already working on fixing it up.

Heres my annual PSA on cold weather.

As long as your pool equipment is running it wont freeze up. However, in single digits, maybe even teen temps, Ive seen them freeze running in low speeds. So make sure its in high speed when it drops below 20.
It doesnt matter if ice forms in the pool as long as it doesn't block your skimmers
If the power goes out & the pool cant run, its important to quickly, before the water freezes, pull all the drain plugs on the equipment. Dont forget the heaters drain plugs.

We'll be closed for Labor Day weekend, so be sure & come get stocked up before the holiday! Labor Day also kicks off our "winter hours" when we're closed on Mondays until April.
