Another great opportunity to race close to home. Read below for a chance at a FREE race entry!
We are very excited to announce that we are sponsoring the YMCA Youth Triathlon on October 18, 2026, hosted by the Citrus County YMCA. We are also partnering with their organization in our biggest effort to expand the sport of youth triathlon to date. We hope to establish their race as a youth race destination for everyone in the YMCA of the Suncoast and beyond for now and for years to come. We are sponsoring 24 new participant entries in the hopes you will consider giving their race a try.
If you are a FIRST-TIMER (ie, your child has never raced their race before) and you live in one of the counties on this map, please:
1. Follow our page.
2. Send an email to [email protected] with your child's name and age, as well as screenshot confirming that you've followed this page.
These spots will likely go fast, so don't hesitate. Anyone can register for their race now at the following link:
https://www.trisignup.com/Race/FL/Lecanto/YMCAYouthTriathlon
We will see you on race day. Thank you!

This past Saturday ACYTC co-founder Andee completed the inaugural (first time) Ironman (IM) Jacksonville (yes, that town not even 2 hours away!) She joined around 1600 other triathletes in the journey to the finish consisting of a 2.4mi swim, 112 mi bike, and a 26.2 mi run. To some athletes it was their first IM and to others, it was their 10+ IM race. Regardless, all athletes battled the same heat and course. It takes mental AND physical strength to even start, let alone finish.
Regardless if you are racing an IM or doing a super sprint or kids race, the mental and physical skills needed are the same. Our club wants our young members to enjoy the sport and use it to help build confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of being active and outside as well as challenging themselves.
