Today is the day. ❤️

Kibo is on his way.

Not long ago, this beautiful young Husky was just another unwanted dog facing an uncertain future in China. A dog who could have easily become another statistic. Another life lost before ever knowing what it means to be safe, loved, and wanted.

Instead, today, Kibo is boarding a journey toward freedom.

As he sits in his crate, leaving everything familiar behind, he has no idea that an entire community on the other side of the world has been fighting for him. He doesn't know how many people donated, shared posts, cheered him on, and believed his life mattered.

But because of you, another dog leaves the Chinese dog meat trade behind forever.

There are still so many waiting for their chance, but today we're celebrating Kibo. His second chance. His freedom flight. His future.

Safe travels, sweet boy. We can't wait to welcome you home. 🖤🐾

❤️ THEY'RE SAFE. ❤️

Yesterday, we were begging for help.

We watched the clock tick down, knowing that without fosters, Flurry and Blu could lose their chance. We shared their faces, told their stories, and hoped someone would see them and care.

And you did.

Because of this community, two senior Huskies who had every reason to be overlooked are now safe.

🤍 Flurry is safe.
🩵 Blu is safe.

It's hard to explain what rescue feels like sometimes. You celebrate adoptions and happy endings, but you also carry the weight of every dog you can't help. Every deadline. Every kennel. Every pair of eyes looking through a shelter door.

That's why days like today matter so much.

Flurry and Blu reminded us that senior dogs are worth fighting for. That they are still loved. Still wanted. Still deserving of a soft bed, a full belly, and a future.

To everyone who shared, commented, tagged friends, offered to foster, or simply refused to scroll past them—thank you.

You didn't just help a rescue.

You changed the ending of two lives.

Tonight, two senior Huskies are sleeping safely because people they have never met decided they mattered.

And that's a beautiful thing. ❤️

‼️PUPDATE: WE SAVED THEM! SEE THE POST AFTER THIS 🖤

🚨 EMERGENCY FOSTERS NEEDED BY NOON TOMORROW 🚨

We are out of time.

Two senior Huskies in an Atlanta shelter need foster homes, and they must be out of the building by noon tomorrow if we're going to save them.

🤍 Flurry • 9 years old • 37 pounds • Senior female • Temporary foster found, but still needs a longer-term foster home

🩵 Blu • 7 years old • 38 pounds • Senior male • Reported to be child-friendly • Currently wasting away in the shelter • Needs a foster immediately

These dogs are small for Huskies and won't take up much room in your home. What they need most is a safe place to land.

Imagine spending your senior years in a shelter kennel, watching people walk past your door every day. That's where Flurry and Blu are right now.

We cannot save them without foster homes.

📍 Atlanta, GA 🚗 Transport can often be arranged 🐾 Rescue support and guidance provided

If you've ever considered fostering, please consider opening your home to one of these deserving seniors.

⏰ Deadline: NOON TOMORROW

Please share everywhere. Their lives may depend on reaching the right person in the next few hours.

🐾 Where Are All the Adopters? 🐾

We hear it all the time:

"I want a younger dog." "I don't want a senior." "I want a dog I can grow with."

The funny thing is... most of our available dogs are under 6 years old.

Right now, we have wonderful dogs looking for homes that are in the prime of their lives. Dogs who still have years of adventures, hikes, road trips, couch cuddles, and memories ahead of them.

These aren't broken dogs. They're not unwanted dogs.

They're dogs who simply haven't found the right person yet.

Some are playful and outgoing. Some are goofy. Some are calm. Some need a little patience while they learn that people can be trusted. But every single one deserves a family of their own.

As a rescue, our goal isn't just to save dogs—it's to help them move on to the lives they deserve. Every adoption opens a space for another dog in need.

Please take a moment to look through our adoptable dogs. Share their posts. Tag a friend who has been talking about getting a dog. Help us get these deserving pups seen.

Because somewhere out there is the perfect family for each of them—we just have to find them.

This is breaking my heart so bad I'll break our intake hold. We'll pull but need a foster. We can get transport out of there and I'll send the email as soon as I get a committed foster.

We don't say this lightly, but we're reaching a breaking point.

Kiba's medical care continues to be extensive and expensive. Every week brings medications, supplies, follow-up care, and the costs of giving her the quality of life she deserves.

At the same time, Togo managed to escape an industrial-strength crate and destroyed our AC handler. What should have been a safe management tool turned into another unexpected expense we simply weren't prepared for.

We're exhausted.

Not because we don't love these dogs. Not because we regret saving them.

We're exhausted because every day feels like we're trying to keep our heads above water while more challenges keep piling on.

The truth is simple: we need adoptions.

We need families willing to open their homes to dogs that have been waiting. We need fosters willing to step up. We need people to share our adoptable dogs with friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors.

Every dog that finds a home creates space, resources, and hope for the next dog who needs us.

We've never been the rescue that only takes the easy dogs. We take the seniors, the medical cases, the behavior cases, and the dogs others pass over. But we can't continue doing that without community support.

If you've ever considered adopting, fostering, or even just sharing our dogs, now is the time.

Help us help them.

A huge thank you to every single person who has donated, shared a post, sent supplies, purchased treats, or supported Swampland Husky Rescue in any way.

Because of your generosity, we've been able to accomplish things that felt impossible just a few months ago.

🖤 We covered both of Kiba's amputations and the medical care that came with them.

🖤 We have been able to provide medications and ongoing care for the dogs who depend on us every day.

🖤 We paid for Nami and Kibo's flights to the United States.

🖤 We covered Kibo's transport from New York to Florida.

🖤 We've received food, treats, and other supplies that help keep our rescue dogs fed, comfortable, and loved.

Every bag of food. Every package of treats. Every dollar. Every share.

It all adds up to saved lives.

We know times are tough, and we never take your support for granted. The fact that people continue to believe in our mission means more than we can put into words.

But rescue doesn't stop when one bill gets paid.

Nami and Kibo's expenses are turning out to be a little higher than we originally estimated. We continue to have ongoing veterinary expenses, medication costs, food bills, and daily care for the dogs who call Swampland home.

We're also still working toward one of the biggest projects we've ever taken on: securing safe fencing at our new property. While we may be able to save money by doing much of the work ourselves, we still need thousands of dollars in materials to build a secure, Husky-proof fence. Without it, our ability to safely house and help more dogs remains limited.

Your support has already changed lives. Kiba is healing. Nami and Kibo are coming home. Dogs are receiving the care they need because of you.

Now we're asking for your help to keep that momentum going.

Whether it's a donation, a bag of food, a package of treats, or simply sharing our posts, every bit of support helps us continue saving the dogs that so often have nowhere else to go.

From all of us at Swampland Husky Rescue—thank you for believing in our mission and helping us give these incredible dogs the future they deserve.

Until Every Husky Has a Home. 🐾❤️
