Swampland Husky Rescue

🐾 MEET LAURI STRODE — AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! 🐾

How has this gorgeous girl not found her forever home yet?! 🖤

Lauri Strode is a young Siberian Husky mix who is approximately 2½ years old and weighs a very manageable 47 pounds. She has the most striking black, tan and white coloring — and those EARS! 😍

Lauri originally entered the shelter as a stray, but she's ready to leave that chapter of her life behind and find a family of her own.

Her medical checklist is looking great:

🐾 Spayed
❤️ Heartworm negative
💉 Vaccinated
🩺 Medically cleared for adoption
🐕 No bite history
⭐ No further formal behavior evaluation was recommended

At just 47 pounds, Lauri is a beautiful medium-sized girl with her whole life ahead of her. She deserves to know what it's like to have a home where she is loved, wanted and never has to wonder where she belongs again.

📩 Interested in adopting Lauri Strode? Send us a message or submit an adoption application at Linktr.ee/SwamplandHuskyRescue

Please SHARE — her forever family could be one share away. 🖤🐾

🚨 EVEE NEEDS A SAFE INDOOR HOME 🚨

Evee is an 8-year-old Shiba Inu whose family has fallen on incredibly difficult times. What was supposed to be temporary has become long-term, and due to severe asthma in the home, Evee can no longer live inside.

She’s loving, loyal, calm and low-energy. Once you’re her person, expect to have a little Shiba shadow following you everywhere. ❤️

We’re searching for either a LONG-TERM FOSTER or FOREVER HOME where Evee can feel safe and secure again.

🐾 Best without small children or small animals
📍 South Florida — willing to travel for the right home

We know a long-term foster is a big ask, but we have to try for her.

Please SHARE. Evee’s person may be one share away. 🐾❤️

🎃🐾 Help us make these baskets so good they're SCARY! 👻

We need to talk about getting dogs we aren't prepared to care for.

Two weeks ago, Marion County Animal Services reached out to us about a beautiful Malamute who desperately needed help.

Atlas wasn't just matted. His coat was so severely compacted that you couldn't see his skin. His belly fur looked like scales, and the matting covering his body felt like armor.

The only humane option was to shave him.

Please — before bringing home a Husky, Malamute, or ANY breed, understand what they require. And if you become overwhelmed, ask for help before your dog reaches this point.

But Atlas's story has a VERY happy ending. ❤️

ATLAS HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🎉🐺

Before sending our newly naked boy off to his forever home, we also purchased him a brand-new crate. Between his care, supplies and everything that goes into saying “yes” when a dog needs us, these expenses add up quickly.

If Atlas's story touched you, please consider making a donation so we can keep saying YES to dogs like him. Even $5 helps.

From fur like armor to naked, comfortable and HOME. ❤️

🚨 BALDR NEEDS YOU. 🚨

Baldr has been in board & train working through his behavioral challenges, and he IS making progress — but it’s slow. And that’s okay. Baldr isn’t a dog who needs to be rushed. He needs someone willing to meet him where he is.

What Baldr needs now is a patient, committed home near Alachua County that understands he is still a work in progress. Someone willing to give him structure, consistency, boundaries, and time to build trust.

❤️ His training doesn’t end when he goes home. Continued training/support is INCLUDED with his placement so his new family won’t be navigating this transition alone.

We aren’t looking for just any home for Baldr. We’re looking for the right one.

🐾 MEET & APPLY FOR BALDR HERE: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/49451077-ocala-florida-siberian-husky-mix

And while Baldr continues working toward that goal, we desperately need help with his bill.

💸 We currently owe OVER $2,000 for his board & train.

Every additional week he remains in training adds to that balance. We need help catching up while we search for the person who can finally give this big, beautiful boy the stability he deserves.

💵 Can’t adopt? Even $5, $10 or $20 toward his training bill makes a difference.

📲 Can’t donate? SHARE BALDR. His person may be one share away.

Baldr has people fighting for him. Now we need someone willing to fight alongside him. 🐺❤️

Until Every Husky Has a Home. 💙

🚨 $5 FRIDAY — OOPS… WE DID IT AGAIN. 🐾💸

We said we were CLOSED for intake.

We said we weren’t doing this again.

Then Marion County Animal Services had a 5-year-old Husky who needed someone to say YES.

So… of course Swampland said yes. 🤦‍♀️🐺

We found him a foster, and now our newest MCAS boy has his first vet appointment scheduled for TUESDAY! 🩺🐾

And that means we need your help.

He needs a full veterinary evaluation, vaccines and whatever medical care his exam shows he needs. He also needs food, treats, supplies and everything else that comes with bringing another dog into rescue.

That’s where $5 FRIDAY comes in.

💵 FIVE BUCKS.

If everyone who sees this tossed just $5 toward his care, imagine what we could accomplish.
