On THIS day 5 years ago, SteelFire officially opened its doors. We had tried to open "quietly," but instead found ourselves instantly taking care of thousands of wonderful guests each week! And while serving delicious meals was our primary goal, one of our favorite aspects of Ownership was that it allowed us to give back to our community (and our staff). Here's a look back at some of our favorite experiences. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our success and provided treasured memories - we couldn't have done it without you!

As we finalize our Donations Total for 2021, I am reminded of one of my favorite aspects of owning a restaurant: giving back to the community. Another favorite aspect? Expressing gratitude for every guest who has walked in our door over the past 5 years, because without YOU we would have nothing to give. Your patronage allowed us to donate to countless non-profit and cancer organizations, schools, churches, police and fire departments, hospitals, sports teams, animal shelters, Cystic Fibrosis, The Arc of Howard County, Gilchrist Hospice, HoCo Autism Society, Factory Athletics, Historic Ellicott City after the flood, and SO many more. We were particularly excited to distribute 450 Birthday Bags to children standing in line for food at Columbia Community Care sites in 2020, and we loved creating gift baskets (and volunteering!) for your special events, especially those hosted by Blossoms of Hope. So THANK YOU for your generosity - here is a small sampling of what *you* (and our supportive friends/neighbors) allowed us to give! 🥰

The first 5 bites of this Cobb Salad were SO delicious yesterday! Then we became so busy that it took 7 hours for me to circle back for bite #6. (Not gonna lie, bite #6 was not my favorite, so instead “lunch" ended up being Chick-fil-A Nuggets at 10:45pm.) But it was worth the sacrifice to see so many of our favorite guests and we are grateful for all of the kindness and generosity shown to our staff this week!!

On this day 5 years ago a dedicated group of friends generously offered to be guinea pigs and taste-test potential cocktails to include on our menu. Guests have been enjoying their choices ever since, and we're grateful for friends who were willing to sacrifice their livers for the greater good! 😋

We are open today, so drop in and say hello! No cooking, prepping, or cleaning up for you to do...just eat, drink, and be merry!
