Ripley made it safely to her new home in Maine last weekend, and with that, we announce it’s a wrap for Pibble Ranch! ♥️

It has been an amazing 2.5 years of rescuing dogs in need here in Polk County. We have been so blessed to have incredible adopters and supporters on this journey! Our dogs are living great lives in their adoptive homes, and not once were we ever short on medical bills, supplies or love from our tribe, and some of those medical bills were over $10k at times. 😅
YOU made this dream a reality, and we can’t thank you enough!
Some of you may be wondering why we have chosen to close our doors, and simply said, it’s just time. Life has a way of having chapters, and this has been an awesome one!

Please continue supporting your local rescues - rescue is all consuming, exhausting and constant - those of you who choose to support those of us doing this work truly have no idea how powerful your impact is!

After a year of waiting on a home, Ripley began her trip north to her new family in Maine today! 🎉💗

A huge thank you to all involved - it is quite the process getting a dog from FL to ME, but we are so appreciative of those willing to help orchestrate this.

For those of you wondering how Ace is doing, he couldn’t be better! He now sports the name Jake and his mom recently sent us this update:
“Jake comes more and more out of his shell everyday and is literally the best dog ever. He and Eva went to boarding this weekend while I was at a bachelorette party and everyone at the facility said he’s their favorite dog and asked if they can have him 😂 even my neighbors are like “if you ever need to rehome him, please give him to me”. Unlucky for them, he’s mine but he is such a success story and I’m soooo grateful to have him 🥰”

We couldn’t be happier for this sweet, gentle giant! From dumped in an orange grove unwanted to now a favorite wherever he goes - the best kind of rescue story. ♥️🐾

Next month will mark one whole year of Ripley being in rescue. 🥹 That is such a long time for a dog to wait for a home…
Ripley came to us when her owner decided to no longer care for her. She had just given birth to yet another litter of puppies (that all passed away at birth) and was very depressed. She has come such a long way since coming to us - she has filled out and is the happiest girl around! She absolutely loves to chase lizards, enjoy the sunshine and go for walks. She is fully vetted and housebroken and does well on a leash! She would prefer to be the only pet, but had done well with smaller, calmer dogs with proper intros.
We are really hoping Ripley does not have to reach that 1 year anniversary in rescue…. Please help us find her a home! 🏠🐾
