"Security will always be of primary concern for government decision makers, particularly given all the recent hacks and attacks. With the right systems integration, security, privacy, intrusion detection, malware, and logging and reporting can be built into cloud communications as it can be with data cloud computing.
What’s new and different with cloud communications is the requirement to secure voice, messaging and even social media conversations, and many companies have built rock solid solutions enabling recording, voice analytics, and more."

"One of the most obvious vertical industries benefitting from the growing API economy – and contributing to that growth – is telecom. 24% of web apps and 15% of mobile apps are using APIs this year. That grows to 80% over the next two years, according to Mind Commerce.
So how can other industry verticals - for example financial services and the hot “FinTech” market - benefit from this brave new market going forward?"

"Like any technology that is rolled out at scale, the quality of the underlying platform cannot be fully leveraged without the right implementation partners. While Communications Cloud networks require less engineering, and can be acquired with little or no Capex as a result – the best RTC cloud deployments have rock solid “A” team partners behind them."
The Economics of Enterprise Network Transformation When it comes to making “the move” of enterprise real time communication networks to the cloud, it takes true partnership.

"No other industry is as subject to competition, regulatory change, and economic volatility, and the steady but slow recovery from a massive global recession has not helped.
The good news is, with advancements in cloud and virtualization, including the maturation of software for access, identity, security, management and reporting - all in real time - banks, brokerages, lenders, credit card providers, and insurance companies who make up the massive financial industry have better choices for infrastructure and communications."
For Financial Services Companies, Software Defined Networking Adds Up To Scalability, Savings & Success Today, more than ever, IT teams supporting financial services institutions are under pressure to control spending, while ensuring networks and applications perform in real time, all the time.

Qualesce's Andy Asava: "I was fortunate to join a great panel with Tristan Barnum, co-founder at Telliant Systems and Mike Hitmar from SAS Software. The panel was moderated by Keith Tamboer of James Brehm & Associates, and we talked about avoiding "GIGO" (garbage in garbage out) in the data/analytics layer and about Fog computing trends generally. A huge emphasis in the show was on the "brains" behind IoT and how the massive amounts of data will need to be architecturally and strategically managed."

"I've been astounded recently by certain so-called experts saying that Tier One network service providers cannot make money in IoT. They are thinking small. What's actually happening is that real time communications giants have been waiting and watching the technologies mature - knowing a massive transformation to IP was nascent and is now about to boom."
The Next IP Network Transformation is All About IoT - Quintessential Blog Some people believe the IoT is relatively young - and it is if you think about the IoT as only "Internet" connected things.

“Fog" computing makes sense for Internet of Things solutions as the distributed approach not only improves efficiency by controlling the amount of data that needs to be transported to the cloud for processing, analysis and storage – but for security and compliance reasons as well."
Why Fog Computing Is So Clearly the Future for the Internet of Things - Fog computing, also known as fog networking, is something of a “buzzword” for decentralized computing, creating more efficiency in resources and application services through distributed processes orchestrated from the edge and through middleware into

Devices, connectivity and IT services are expected to account for the majority of the global IoT market in 2020, with devices alone accounting for 31.8% of the total. The real recurring growth will come, in our opinion, from purpose-built platforms and “as a service” offerings, which is where team Q is headed with the customers and partners we are working with.
Service Providers Can Make Money – Big Money – When Their RTC and IoT Clouds Meet - We cannot escape the massive numbers being shared every day now by industry analysts and the media when it comes to the size and growth of the Internet of Things.
