This year has been the hardest period of my life.

After making the decision to leave school and come back to this game, I punted. I made decisions that cost me financially, that cost me relationships, that cost me spiritually.

For the first time in my life, I had to decide who I wanted to become.

Why do I want to play this game? Who do I want to be as a person?

After losing multiple five figures blackout drunk, going back home crying in my car, I made a promise to myself that I’d give everything I had to succeed.

I owe that to myself. I owe that to the fortunate life I was blessed with.

Starting in May, I stuck to that promise. I put my head down and gave it everything every single day. On my app. On poker. On content.

Last month, I started my bankroll challenge to challenge myself to create meaningful content and prove that this game is the most beautiful game in the world.

This trip was special.

It was special because I could really feel how much I’ve improved. And it was my time to put on a show.

4 tournaments. 3 final tables.

In a game of chance, where I know I can lose over and over again, I really felt like I couldn’t fail.

And to put on a show with my best friends cheering me on from the side. There’s not much more I could ask for.

I’m going to take a few days off to recharge and reset.

Then we’re getting after it again in the bankroll challenge.

For anyone that’s struggling or wanting more out of life, anything is possible.
