Friends For Life Cat Rescue

We rescue cats and kittens from difficult situations and make it possible for them to find a forever loving home. Some are with us for weeks, others for years.

Friends For Life cats are cared for in foster homes until their adoption. It is our goal to place cats as quickly as possible into a loving family. Unfortunately, because some animals are scared, stressed, older, or may not do well at open houses or in cages, they may live the rest of their lives in foster care or in a shelter environment. We believe that we have a lifelong obligation to every animal that enters our rescue and we care for each pet as if it were our own..

💔 Three months.

For three months, Mario and Luigi have watched other cats come and go, wondering when it will finally be their turn.

They’re not tiny kittens anymore. They’re a bonded pair, which means they need to be adopted together. Those two things alone seem to make many people pass them by without ever getting to know them.

What they’re missing is someone willing to look beyond their age and see what wonderful cats they are.

At just 2 years old, Mario and Luigi are affectionate, social boys who love Churu treats, feather wand toys, and spending time with their people. Most importantly, they have each other. Their bond is special, and we can’t imagine separating them.

They also have FIV. If you’ve heard scary things about FIV, please know that cats with FIV can live long, happy, normal lives. FIV is not easily spread, and many FIV-positive cats successfully live with FIV-negative cats.

Mario and Luigi have been waiting long enough. They deserve a couch to nap on, windows to watch birds from, and a family to call their own.

Introducing Frida! This little artist is our newest resident of the adoption center at the Frederick Petco. She is a sweet, young cat who would likely do well with other cats given a proper, slow introduction.
