We recently spent the day touring and documenting some of the incredible local businesses in Bowie, Maryland, along with Mike Hall, of MJ Hall Photography.
Our tour featured stops at Go To Burgers for a firsthand look inside the kitchen, and Ruby’s Southern Kitchen, where we went to new heights to frame the perfect shot. We also loved visiting the Bowie Farmers Market, Sensory Sentiments, and Maryland Women's Business Center’s Shop Local outpost at the Bowie Town Center.
Thank you to all the small business owners who welcomed us into their spaces and City of Bowie Government Economic Development Office for their collaboration!

Show up for the businesses in your community by:
1) Walking in the door. A face-to-face visit tells an owner more than any survey ever could.
2) Sharing resources. Many business owners don't know what funding, advising, or programming exists. Hand them the roadmap.
3) Helping them get their story told. Local press, a feature, a shoutout: visibility changes everything for a small business.
4) Following, reviewing, referring. It's free. It's fast. And it matters more than you know!
How do you support small businesses? Drop your answer in the comments.
