Sometimes, as we parent children who have experienced trauma, our marriages take the back burner. But it doesn't have to be that way! We can prioritize our marriages, come together instead of pulling apart, and connect. We want to make sure you have all the tools available to invest in your marriage. Join us Saturday, July 11th at C3 Church in Denton for an Abide Special Session focusing on marriage. Think of it as an intentional date night! (We'll have dinner, dessert, and a dirty soda bar!!! YUM)

We have an amazing panel of experienced couples ready for you, as well as some amazing breakout sessions. Hearing from people a little further down the road than you can be so encouraging, and it can help you feel less alone. After the panel, there will be an opportunity to attend breakout sessions with the same couples in the panel!

Whether you are called to foster adopt, support a foster/adoptive family, or show up for biological families in your community, this work—of caring for the vulnerable—is for all of us.

Attention Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Parents!

We believe that investing in our marriages is vital. Please join us for Abide Special Session: Marriage on July 11th from 6-9 PM at C3 Denton. (For my lovely single mamas, we love you, too!! There is an Abide on the calendar for August 29th with childcare, so be on the lookout for that!)

First, we will provide you with a delicious dinner and a soda bar! After dinner, there will be a panel of three couples who have walked (and continue to walk) this road of foster care, adoption, and/or kinship care, encouraging you to invest in and prioritize your marriage. You can then head to a breakout session led by one of the couples on the panel, OR you can have a Dessert Date with your spouse! We will end in a time of worship, reminding ourselves of God's goodness in our lives. Tickets for this event are $40 per couple, which covers dinner, dessert, drinks, and something fun to take home with you!

Dr. Bruce Perry says, "The most powerful therapy is human love." We believe that every child belongs in a family that provides them with love and care.

Abide: For the Mothers was such a special time on Saturday. We gathered, ate delicious food, drank yummy coffee, made room sprays with , created beautiful bouquets to take home, and ended our time with encouragement at worship.

It’s not always easy being a foster or adoptive mom—there are so many challenges we face. But knowing we aren’t alone? That makes it possible. Remembering why God called us here? That keeps us strong.
