We are proud to announce the re-signing of 2006 forward, Matthew Schackart to the Spacemen for the 2026–2027 season! The Tuscon, Arizona native is lifting off for his second year in Space.

“Matt brings skill and tenacity to our lineup. Last season, he made drastic improvements in his overall game. Matt became a go-to player for us by the end of the season. He is a player that can be placed in any position in the lineup. He understands his role and takes advantage of every opportunity. Cooper Angelelli committed to play for season 2026-2027. He is a forward from New Haven, Michigan. He plans to major in Business Management. Cooper played for Carolina Rage in the NA3HL last season.

“Evan is a player that brings a ton of experience at the junior hockey level, being a part of National Championship teams in the last 2 seasons. Evan not only brings experience, but he also brings a determination to develop his game that we know will rub off on other players on the team. “Jan is a speedy center that sees the ice well. He’s looking to play pro hockey in Germany after he ages out. Spacemen fans will love watching Jan who will be our first German player to play in Space. We’re extremely excited about adding him to the roster for next season!” - Coach Schrock.

“We are very happy to have Kegan back in the orange and black. Kegan spent the majority of the year with our Premier team and finished the season playing a big part in leading the Elite team to the National Championship game. He is a player that is bought in and does everything we ask of him! We are looking forward to Kegan helping lead us on another run this season!” - Coach Lamothe.

Congratulations to Sumner Wood on his commitment to play NCAA D3 at Rivier University! Sumner was a goaltender on the 2025-2026 Spacemen Premier team and spent one year with our program.

“My year in Fort Wayne was one of my best years in hockey, from practices to games, and everything in between. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with such a great organization. Thank you to all my coaches and teammates who made my time so special” - Sumner Wood.

“Sumner played a huge role in getting our team off to a hot start earning a number one ranking in the league. He was consistent all year long and showed that when he played at his highest level he was capable of earning a spot at the NCAA D3 level. Sumner we’re extremely proud that you reached your goal and thank you for all the hard work you poured into our team last season!” - Coach Schrock.

“Tobias comes from a very good Indiana elite program and we’re expecting him to shine offensively this season. He battled some serious injuries last year and we think he’s a kid that was overlooked and could play at a higher level. He’ll play a huge role on our D core” - Coach Schrock.

We are proud to announce the re-signing of 2008 defenseman, Cameron Wells to the Spacemen for the 2026–2027 season! The Clarksville, Tennessee native is lifting off for his second year in Space.

“Cameron was one of our hardest workers and most improved player’s last season. He is a guy that shows up to the rink everyday ready to give his all and ready to learn! At the end of the day that is all we can ask for in our guys. We are very excited to have Wellsy back for year 2 and very excited to see how much he develops this year!” - Coach Lamothe.
