What happens when you send two DC interior designers to NeoCon? Fun pictures and thoughtful insights. πŸ–ΌοΈ

From THE MART to Fulton Market, America and Monika, two of our interior designers, noticed a powerful shift in how spaces are designed. Apparently, we are trend setters because designers are leaning into people-first places and creating environments that prioritize how people feel. From bold color palettes and tactile materials to workplace β€œneighborhoods” and seamlessly integrated tech, every detail is becoming more intentional, more flexible, and more human.

A snippet from a presentation Jason Baker, one of our Senior Mechanical Engineers, gave πŸ‘€

Jason talks about planning mechanical upgrades when operations, for whatever reason, cannot pause. The full presentation goes over the many challenges of facility upgrades in occupied buildings, as well as planning in order to eliminate the amount of discomfort for those in the space.

Some of us may have had a little too much fun making this . . .

Since one of our conference rooms is named "High Five," it felt only fitting to embrace our high five culture. πŸ™Œ

Inspire curiosity πŸ’«

This unique project was one for the books! Our architects and engineers worked hard to add a 21-foot high planetarium dome to the existing Science Central building. In the end, their hard work paid off, and they got to experience the digital projection system in action with their families during our project photography shoot.

No one notices redundancy until something fails.

In our latest blog post, Jordan Backer explores why redundancy planning is one of the most important β€” and often overlooked β€” components of resilient building systems.

From healthcare and industrial facilities to mission-critical environments, the right mechanical strategy helps organizations stay operational when equipment fails, utilities are interrupted, or maintenance becomes unavoidable.
