Help Us Build a Space for Strength — Inside and Out
At Hope Alive, we believe healing happens in the whole person — body, mind, and spirit. As our residents rebuild their lives, we want to offer them a space where they can also rebuild their physical strength and well-being.
We're asking our community for gently used or new gym equipment to outfit our residential gym space. If you've got equipment gathering dust, it could become part of someone's healing journey here in Fort Wayne.
See comments for a list of needed items.
Items should be clean and in good working condition. 💛

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Indiana), nearly 1 in 5 Hoosiers who needed mental health services struggled to find the care they needed.
For many individuals and families, the barrier isn't a lack of desire for help-it's the inability to access affordable, quality care when they need it most.
At Hope Alive, we believe that finances should never stand in the way of healing, hope, and transformation. Through our counseling services, we work to remove those barriers and connect people with the support they deserve.
That's why our Annual Hope Alive Gala on September 18 is so important. As our only fundraiser of the year, this event directly supports our ability to continue providing counseling services and reducing financial barriers for those seeking help.
Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and donation made helps ensure that individuals and families in our community can access the support they need, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Together, we can help make hope and healing accessible for more people.

Big news worth celebrating: Hope Alive was just featured by the National Behavioral Health Network for going to***co-free! 🎉
In 2023, we made the leap to a fully to***co-free campus — and instead of pushing women away, it gave many residents the support they needed to finally quit for good. Three years later, the ripple effect is reaching beyond our doors: community members are reaching out for to***co cessation counseling too!
This is what’s possible when people have the right support around them — and that includes you. Thank you for standing behind this ministry and making stories like this one possible. 💛

What if falling apart isn't the end of your story. What if it is the place where God begins putting the pieces back together?
It’s okay to start over. It’s okay to get back up again. It’s okay to fall apart sometimes, too. There are seasons when your heart is tired, your mind is overwhelmed, and simply making it through the day feels like more than enough. You don’t have to pretend to be strong all the time. You don’t have to have all the answers. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is admit that you’re struggling and let God meet you there.
Often, the moments when we feel the most broken are the very places where God begins His greatest work. What feels like the end may actually be the start of healing, growth, and restoration.
He is a God who restores, rebuilds, and brings hope to situations that seem impossible.
Give yourself grace today. Take the next step, no matter how small. God isn’t finished with your story yet.
"Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again." — Proverbs 24:16

🌸 Growth doesn’t happen overnight🌸
🌸 but every bloom is proof that change is possible🌸
Today, our residents spent time planting flowers in pots, creating something beautiful with their own hands. As they carefully placed each flower and added fresh soil, it was a reminder that growth often begins beneath the surface, where no one else can see it.
Just like these flowers need time, care, and the right environment to thrive, so do people. Healing, personal growth, and mental health recovery are often slow processes, but every small step matters. Each new leaf, each bloom, and each bit of progress is worth celebrating.
At Hope Alive, we have the privilege of witnessing that growth every day. Seeds of hope planted today can become something beautiful tomorrow.
🌼 Sometimes the most beautiful transformations start with a little dirt, a little patience, and a lot of hope. 🌼

Heavenly Father, as we begin this Monday, we thank You for Your love and grace. We know there are times when we fall short and disappoint our friends, our families, ourselves, and even You. In those moments, help us remember that our failures never surprise You. You knew our weaknesses and struggles, yet You loved us enough to send Your Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so we could find forgiveness, hope, and new life.
When guilt, shame, or discouragement weigh on our hearts, remind us that Your mercy is greater than our mistakes and that our worth is found in You. Give us the strength to keep moving forward, the courage to seek forgiveness, and the peace that comes from knowing we are deeply loved.
May we walk through this week confident in Your grace and encouraged by the hope we have in Christ.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Earlier this year, Hope Alive was honored to receive a $5,000 grant from Parkview Community Health Improvement in support of our Community Counseling Program! This funding helps us break down financial barriers to mental health care for the most vulnerable in our community. We are grateful for Parkview’s ongoing commitment to the health and wellness of Allen County. 💙
There are moments in life when the weight feels heavy, anxiety feels loud, and the path ahead seems unclear. In those moments, it can be tempting to rely solely on our own understanding, trying to carry every burden ourselves.
But God gently reminds us that we were never meant to walk through life's struggles alone. Prayer is more than words. Prayer is an invitation to place our fears, worries, and uncertainties into the hands of a loving Father who sees the whole picture when we can only see a small part.
When we lean on Him, we find strength for today, hope for tomorrow, and peace that reaches beyond our circumstances. No matter what challenge you're facing, know that God is present, listening, and working even when you can't yet see the outcome.
