📌 Due to the power outage in the area, Junction City High School USD 475 will be postponing its Ninth Grade Transition Day, which was originally scheduled for today. The new date will be Tuesday, June 23 at either 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. or 6-8 p.m.

If you are unable to attend on June 23, please know that there will an additional transition day offered on Tuesday, July 21. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming our incoming freshmen.

🥇 It was a standout track and field season for Fort Riley Middle School’s Kynli Bagby and Jamal Lawson, as the talented duo was recently recognized by 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗦𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘁 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘀 among the top performers in the state due to their showings at the North Central Kansas Junior High League Championships in St. George.

Bagby turned in an impressive peformance on the girls side, posting winning times of 12.54 in the 100 meters and 26.81 in the 200 meters, while also soaring to a jump of 15 feet, 8 inches in the long jump.

Lawson continued to establish himself as one of the premier middle school sprinters in the state, capturing league titles in the 100 meters (11.46), 200 meters (23.82) and 400 meters (55.42). Read More: https://tinyurl.com/44xazvuz

𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁: Due to the weather expected in the area late this afternoon, Geary County Schools USD 475 will be dismissing early on Monday, May 18. All after-school activities are canceled.

Please note that Junction City High School USD 475 will be releasing at 1 p.m., while all other schools will release at 1:45 p.m.
