Ceremonial season at Fort Riley's Cavalry Parade Field is well underway! The 1st Infantry Division Brass Band performs at the Change of Responsibility ceremony for the 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, May 12, 2026. We wish outgoing Command Sgt. Major Jeremiah Enfield all the best at his new assignment, and congratulations to the incoming Command Sgt. Major John Donovan. Duty First!

The “Big Red Fun” Brass Band brought the music to Junction City’s Balloons, Bands & BBQ celebration on May 9th. It was a beautiful day for families to enjoy a variety of fun activities, including a car show, local craft vendors, and tandem skydiving. We had so much fun being a part of this event!

The 1st Infantry Division Band was excited to be part of the last troop redeployment ceremony of the month. The 1ID Rock Band put on a great show for the families and friends who came to welcome their loved ones home after their overseas deployment. Welcome home!

The 1st Infantry Division Band had a great time at the Fort Riley Victory Celebration last Friday. Fort Riley MWR pulled out all the stops to celebrate the conclusion of the 1st Infantry Division’s Victory Week, and we were happy to be a part of it!

Celebrating the Big Red One Year of Legacy: the 1st Infantry Division Band provides the musical motivation for the annual Victory Week Division run held on May 6, 2026. Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael R. Weimer joined the Division for the run, which began with the singing of the Division song and concluded with the 1812 Overture, complete with cannon fire provided by 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery.

Such an honor to perform for the third consecutive year at the beautiful Brown Grand Theatre in Concordia, Kansas, as part of the WWII German POW Camp Concordia Victory Day celebration. Thank you to the wonderful audience and to the Brown Grand Theatre for hosting us!
