On one hand, some smart mirrors allow for real-time overlays that enhance your reflection with digital objects. Think of smart mirrors that let you virtually try on makeup, clothing, or other accessories.

However, some smart mirrors are essentially just highly reflective TVs with more of a focus on content consumption rather than having any real-time interactions. For example, a user of a workout mirror may only be able to see their reflection and a workout video but those two things wouldn't interact.

So it seems like it's really dependent on the model and the software if it can be considered AR 🤔
