Chief z said it all, this curriculum can’t be repeated, taking a trench rescue technician class is only worth taking from the MUSAR organization. There are others that teach trench too but they are teaching either unaware of the engineering and soil mechanics that goes into shoring a trench or openly taking the MUSAR curriculum that isn’t theirs. Do yourself a favor take a MUSAR trench class and you will realize that this technician class is the best in the world.

We tested another highline in the series of highline failure videos, this time we did the Norwegian Reeves. In this series, we tested the prusik and ASAP locks as our control captures on the Reeves. When we failed the highline, we saw both the ASAP and the prusik neutralize in position on the Norwegian Reeves. We also failed the highline with Slack on the downhill side of the of the control line, and saw a little bit more of a dramatic failure in the system, but loads did not go above 1.73 KN on the control lines. We also failed the Reeve system with the ASAP lock as well as with the cmc sewn prusik. We got to see that both reeve captures do a good job. So we have found that they are both viable options that have great success in restraining and capturing the litter.
