Once again I return to the well of literature, and various other written works looking for some kind of repose, or at the very least, some kind of synchronicity in feeling.

“Time spent with cats is never wasted”, is a good one, and so is “I love cats because I enjoy my home; and little by little, they become its visible soul.”

Today Fae, Fey Cat, Miss Kitty, Kitty, White Kitty (my mother so affectionately called her that) has departed from us for another adventure. She was a companion for 17 years, and lived with us through many stages of life, both confusing and beautiful. She was with us through multiple jobs, different types of schooling, our marriage, different living situations (like 4 different houses and apartments), and really saw us come into functional adulthood.

She was a wonderful and well loved companion.
She loved hot wings, luncheon meats, cheeseburgers, sleeping under the blankets, interrupting reading, doing that trill/chirping noise any time she was addressed, tormenting Ligotti, and grooming The Big Man.

She will be missed. Her adventure continues. I’m sure The Big Man was waiting on her.

I love all y’all. Hug your pets.
