Stay aware and prepared!
Heads up! There are currently 2 Severe Thunderstorm Watches in effect through this evening for portions of the Mid-South. A Watch means that "conditions are favorable" for severe thunderstorms to form. Be prepared!

Look out for an increase of military vehicles on state highways and interstates.

JONESBORO, Ark (KAIT) Motorists traveling on Arkansas interstates and highways should prepare for an uptick in military vehicle traffic beginning Friday, May 29, and continuing through June 15, as National Guard troops travel to and from annual training.
National Guard troops will travel from their respective armories to train at Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center in Barling. These convoys, consisting of large tactical vehicles, will travel at slower speeds than normal traffic. This may result in minor slowdowns, particularly at the rear of the convoy, where vehicles attempting to pass could cause temporary congestion.

As EMS Week is coming to a close, we want to thank everyone that reached out to, supported, and fed our crews all week. Next week, like this and every other week, our crews will still be out serving the community and providing top notch patient care.
Donโt let this week be the only week of the year to say โThank Youโ when you see our EMS crews out.
We appreciate them more than they know or we could personally ever show. EMSA crewsโฆ youโre the best! ๐
