Sorry for the late post but last Wednesday I got the chance to drive for Sam Johnson in a Royal Chassis. Hot lapped 13th out of 21 and qualified 16th out of 21. Unfortunately, heat races got cancelled due to rain so I started 16th in the A main. Fought hard throughout the race and missed a few wrecks. Finished 5th! Very thankful for this opportunity to run for Sam.

That’s a wrap on Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex. Huge thanks to Ashley, John Flud and Frank Flud for the mentoring and the fast car. Thanks FM Performance!! Made all 4 features Friday and Saturday night! 😁 (1st time I’ve done that!!)

Wing 🏎️ qualified 5th with some of the best of the best in my group. Talk about intimidating!! Finished 7th in the heat race after a fuel rail broke. That put me 5th in the b-main. I finished 5th and that put me starting 19th in the a-main. I finished 16th.

Nonwing 🏎️ qualified 4th, finished 3rd in the heat race. That put me starting 12 in the feature. Got up to 10th and that’s where I finished. My best finish so far in the National Open Wheel 600 Series.
We have to take a week off for family obligations but we’ll be in Port City soon.

About last night.. won both of my heat races. FM Performance had the car set up like a dream. Finished 4th in both qualifiers and the invert started me on the pole for both. 🏎️ Lead all the laps in both heats. Didnt look back. First heat race wins in a Micro ever!! 🎉 Started 7th in both classes in the feature.. was going great in the non-wing holding my own in 7th in a stacked National Open Wheel 600 Series race until I wasn’t. Got hit under caution 🤬 and finished last. The team did a great job getting it pieced back together for the winged race.. and the fuel line broke in the first few laps.. Finished last again. We are so lucky to have this learning opportunity. We’ll put it back together and try again tonight. Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex

What a learning experience this past weekend has been running for FM Performance. Hot lapped 2nd fastest in NW and 15th in winged started 8th in my winged heat finished 7th couldn’t make up any ground car was to tight. Started 4th was running 3rd for a few laps but the cushion got me and fell back to 5th. Started 3rd in the B main for NW finished 3rd and transferred to the A main. Started 3rd in the Winged B finished third was running down 2nd just ran out of time. Started 19th in the NW A main got to 13th and got my nose chopped and spun out got put to the back and raced my way back up to 11th overall a really good learning opportunity for my and my dad. special thanks Frank and all the guys who helped work on the cars

Mother Nature won at Port City too… we’ll try again tomorrow.

Well… Mother Nature finally called us back… and unfortunately, she said “not tonight.” 🌧️🙄
Racing is canceled, and apparently she’s still not in a very fun mood. We tried negotiating… she wasn’t having it. The Fuel Tech Spring Fling will now run Saturday only. Officials are looking at a possible makeup date and will release that information when it becomes available.

With Dodge City Raceway Park postponing this weekends race we have decided to race at Port City Raceway April 10th and the 11th

The racing at Hendry County has been fun over the last few days. I finished 10th on Friday, but last night's 4th-place finish was a highlight. The race itself was wild, with more than half the field not making it, so strategy and luck was key. Getting sent to the back because of someone elses mistake sucked, but I showed what I'm capable of by pushing my way back up the field. The whole experience was great, a real challenge but everyone was friendly and it was fun. Got to meet new friends and hang out with old friends. I’m looking forward to Ocala next!
