Brooklyn Academy is having our first rummage sale this weekend. Please give me a call if you are able to help on Saturday. You can bring any items to donate anytime this week. We are trying to raise funds for curriculum. Your support is greatly appreciated!!

Parents!!! The students are doing a lot of projects that involve salt dough and paper mache paste. If you could send in a container or two of salt and a bag of all purpose flour, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Parents!!! At the meeting last week we decided to hold a rummage sale / bake sale to benefit the school.
The sale (weather permitting) will be here at the school Friday and Saturday March 20-21! Please contact Nancy or Tammy to get involved!!!
There is plenty of room at the school to store stuff so you can get it here early!
We will also need volunteers to set up and attend the sale.
We also need clothing racks, tables, and any of that jazz that you might have to help make the sale run more smoothly.

Hi Parents! Just a reminder that school is closed next week (March 9-13) in observance of SPRING BREAK!!!!!!
I hope that you can all spend some great time together as a family and have a lot of fun. I also hope the weather realizes that it is Spring Break and cooperates!!!!!

Hi Parents - this is Mandie Ybarra, Katie and Joe's mom. I'm trying to post as myself but I am not able to.

Katie will be starting Kinder next year. I wanted to know if the little ones that are graduating into Kinder will want to do a graduation. We would each need to buy our own cap and gown. The cost would be between $20-$30. Please lmk if you want to do this.

Please share your codes from specially marked boxes and the school can get books from Scholastic. Every three codes entered equal a book for the school library!!!!!
The school is all signed up so please text me any codes from boxes you may have or bring me your boxes!
The code is a little hard to find. It is printed inside the box, it looks like a quality control code, it is 9 digits (letters and numbers) with dashes.

Mark Twain once said, "If you don't like the weather in upstate NY, just wait a minute". Obviously he had never been to Texas. The weather here is even less predictable.
My sister in Oregon is laughing at our plight. Let's wish for some Texas sun!

Parents! Thanks to you all for saving your Box top and Education Labels. This is an important fundraiser that will help to get much needed supplies, books, and equipment for the school. We need as many as we can get in by April. Thank you so much!

The upper Elementary Students are doing a Civics unit on Community and Government. They will be building a small city of their own while they discus the function of Government.
Please send in supplies that they could use to make their city. Here are some suggestions, but feel free to be creative:
Toilet paper and paper towel empty rolls
Kleenex boxes
Brown paper Bags or Brown package paper
Cereal boxes
cake, hamburger helper, etc..... boxes
